Is it just me, or did the people who wrote the ride descriptions take a bit of creative liscense?

Case in point: Flight of Fear

LASER BEAMS? Since when did those launch the train?

maby it talking about having lasers detect the train and then the lims start up . I am not for sure though, for all I know it could just be a mistake.

The ride uses a series of laser beams to keep track of the trains location during the launch. This is used so the computer knows what LIMs to fire and when to turn them off.

You said it before I could get to it.

Also, the lasers can keep track of the speed (velocity) of the train, aceleration of the train , and the exact position of the train. This tells the computer if the ride is operating corectly and if the train is where it is suposed to be. It's just another saftey feature that PKI uses to keep us all safe.

Heh...it always made me think that the trains were actually POWERED by lasers...lol
