The Interpreter
Very nice story, pointing out the importance of networking, and that there is sometimes no accounting for where one will end up, especially when one is a master of other things: http://m.morningjournal.com/morningjournal/pm_109008/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=rzRcI0r3
XGatorHead 8904
Thanks for posting this. Watching him work makes you think about just how much time and effort goes into making a carousel horse, something that a lot of park guests just take for granted. Thankfully, GatorGirl takes the time to look at each one she rides in order to determine an appropriate name for it, and asks us to look at the ones we're on to think of names for ours. I hope she never loses that!
kingsrattler
I have spent many hours this year, just sitting and watching Mr. Koerner carve. He is magnificent, and a joy to watch and talk to.
PhantomTheater
That man might be the most talented and hardest working man on the peninsula. I have seen him carving from before park open to well after park close. His creations are amazing, from WWL boats to Oceana Stadium to a full size carousel horse. He can even replicate the Schwabinchin lady perfectly.
Tanna
Wow. What a dream job. It would be nice to see more pictures of his work.
