Hello everyone! I am planning on going to KI on May 14th and 15th 2012, which are on a Monday and Tuesday, this will be my first trip to KI and I am very excited. I just wanted to know if anyone knew what kind of crowds to expect on those days in the middle of May. Also are the kids still in school around that area at that time? Any info you could give me would be most helpful. THANK YOU in advance :-)

First, welcome to KIC.

Second, no, no one knows. Much depends on weather, though the park is apt to have many school groups and to be somewhat understaffed. Have a great time and enjoy! Other than colleges and universities, schools will, for the most part, still be In session, though it doesn't take all that many of them coming to the Island to fill the place, seemingly to the gills, even though Soak City won't yet be open.

Most schools are still in session, and I wouldnt expect bad crowds. Tuesday might be a tad less busy then Monday. But, a went a weekday in May last year and it was pretty empty, most rides with walk ons, so I wouldn't expect bad crowds.

Welcome to KIC!

Thanks everyone for the info!!! LOPAN after reading your post i looked on the Kings Island'S website and the days we were planning on going is on the EDUCATION DAYS. Does anyone think it would be better to wait until the following week to go?

lets put it this way- the behavier of some of the kids made me write my only complaint letter to ki asking they remind the teachers to tell the kids how to follow the rules

THANKs everyone for all your comments...we have pushed back our trip to the next week because of the education days...so hopefully we will have a good first trip to KI
