PKI's Vortex

Featured Replies

Because they are different rollercoasters.

jk i dont know

That's actually the correct answer. They're completely different coaster with the same name.

Just a name used frequently in Paramount Parks. PCW has a coaster named Vortex, but it's a suspended coaster. (Similar to Top Gun at PKI)

I think that PKI's Vortex was built long before the others. It was one of the first Arrow loopers that did six inversions. PCW also gave their new flying coaster the Tomb Raider name and ours obviously isn't even a coaster.

PKI Vortex was built almost 20 years ago (can you believe that??). It was the first Vortex, and the name has been used by Paramount Parks over and over for some reason. Vortex @PKI is an Arrow Megalooper, and Vortex @Carowinds is a B&M inverted...and so on. The only thing they have in common is their name. 17 years ago.....geez huh.gif I can remember when the line stretched all the way back to the Eiffel Tower.
