Browntggrr
Officials of Six Flags New England are seeking permission from the city to build the world’s tallest swing set ride at their amusement park here. The proposed 385-foot high ride, called the "Star Flyer," would replace their “Sky Coaster” ride and require a special permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals as it exceeds the town’s 200-foot height limit. “We call it the world’s biggest swing set,” John Winkler, president of Six Flags New England, told the board at a public hearing Monday on their permit request. http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2012/07/six_flags_new_england_wants_to.html Roncalli-Langone said she is concerned about the screams made by riders and asked if there have been any studies of decibel levels at the park. Given the weather (wind, rain, temp, etc.) can effect how far noise travels, how on Earth can they get an accurate reading from a moving ride?
