Disney to impose age policy at theme parks

About time. I wonder how long it will take other parks to do the same thing.

Children under age 14 will have to be accompanied by someone 14 or older to get into Disneyland and Disney California Adventure starting March 23.

The policy change is going into effect across Disney's American resorts, which previously had varying age policies.

Supposedly the old policy had been that children aged 8 and above were allowed in the park without a guardian. That, to me, is ridiculous. An eight, nine, ten-year-old alone in the park, dropped off for the day? No thank you. Not in this day and age. Even a roving gang of twelve or thirteen-year-olds can be an issue...
