According to the HoliBlog, Holiday World will be announcing something new for 2014 this September.

So what is new for next year? We'll let you know next month.

Can't tell you the day we're spilling the news though, because that in and of itself would be a very strong hint.

And so we wait.

This might even be the month we learn who will control the park next year.

As some will recall, the original 2013 HoliWood Nights brochure contained a teaser about future expansion. The title of the event was "Dig", a play on the movie "Big". Taglines read "Growth, a curious obsession" and "Have you ever head to keep a really big secret?". Whether the plans alluded to by those teasers are still in effect (with new and very different management in place) is anyone's guess.

I miss the old times.

Perhaps a time will come when the entire remaining Koch family can sing "Kum Bah Yah."

The summer fun card, is a great idea. It will definitely dwindle down the crowds on Saturday's if normal season pass holders are looking for a cheaper option. I wonder if other parks will piggyback off of the fun card idea. On the other hand, Holiday World stated that the date of the announcement would give things away, so possibly Holiday World will announce the ride on a holiday in which the ride will be based off of. Oktoberfest is the only significant holiday in september other than 911 rememberance and labor day, which has already passed. We could possibly be seing a new expansion, or a rethemed area.

I believe it is an addition to the water park. They have pieces for what looks like a water slide stashed away in the woods to the east of Voyage. They can be seen easily from the ride before entering the spaghetti bowl on the right and while on the brake run to the left. Whatever it is I think it will be awesome.
