October 4, 201312 yr Does anybody know why the supports change color from yellow to tan? Was this intentional?
October 4, 201312 yr The yellow supports near the station and Rivertown are to make the ride stand out more, while the tan supports are to make the ride blend in with the trees and "forest" further out from the station.
October 4, 201312 yr Author But its also tan when it comes back into station. I dont know just seems like it should be same color.
October 4, 201312 yr I agree that it should all be the same color. The yellow stops after the first hill, so maybe it was just to make the hill stand out?
October 4, 201312 yr I think all the supports should be tan. I hate the red-yellow combo (not just on Diamondback, on any roller coaster...past Invertigo for example) and the tan fits in with the theme much better. Yellow just doesn't relate to the woods, snakes, and things of that nature...tan does. I think it's like this to make the hill stand out, definitely. When you're coming into KI and see the "big yellow and red ride" it would probably stand out more than if it was all tan.
October 5, 201312 yr That Yellow paints looks horrible now, after 5 summers of being Baked in the sun!
October 5, 201312 yr Personally, I like how one of our flagship rides has different colors on its lift hill supports than it does on it's other supports. Gives our park kind of a nice little "touch" don't you think?
October 5, 201312 yr I think it's time for the supports to be repainted. At least the yellow ones EDIT: I spelled painted as printed.
October 5, 201312 yr I think it's time for the supports to be reprinted. At least the yellow ones Coaster supports do not come from a 3-D printer. Though that would be mighty cool if they did.
