Why does the train not slow down as much like it used to after the two loops?

It depends on the location of the other two trains, like the speed of The Beast's lift hill.

^What he said. Those are the block brakes. If the next block section is open, it will slow down less. If it is not, then the train will come to a full stop until it is.

But is it that? I can't honestly say I've ever seen Vortex trains dispatched quickly enough to where stopping a train on those block brakes would be justified.
