PKI_Diana Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 well, having worked there two years Im happy with it, it means that my clothes wont turn blue! Now , if I lean on the tower, the paint rubs off onto you.....I only know this because its happened to me many a times....I've also been told, that the difference wont be seen except on the elevator...besides if you've ridden two any time since last September, you can see the patches of the framework that have been color tested, treated and decided. PKI_Man Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Kings Dominion's Effiel tower was painted Green, im thinking that the tower will be blue, or some other color. Quote
RMBryan Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004  im thinking that the tower will be blue, or some other color. nah, Really??? Quote
Return_of_Yogi Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 I would like to see it bronze. That my friend would look AWESOME at night. Quote
PKI_Man Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 I agree fully with yogi, the tower should be bronze, or painted like the Ol' red white and blue. Quote
PKICoasterFreek Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 For what it's worth, the original Eiffel Tower is actually painted three different colors, that get lighter...progressively farther up the tower. It's supposed to promote an illusion of increased height... Absolutely correct! Three shades of brown are used that are only used on the tower and no where else. Um the three color part of this is correct, but the part on using the colors no where else is incorrect. Paris hotel in Las Vegas has special permission from the Governor if Paris to paint their tower and light it exactly the way the Eiffel Tower is painted in Paris, France. Quote
PKI_Diana Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 The base part of the project was completed this week...so you can see the final color on it now....It's the same color. they only did like, the stairs, area around the elevator and a few other tidbits. ...and no, I dont know when the plats will be completed. coasterdime Posted May 19, 2004 Author Posted May 19, 2004 Ok, call the Travel Channel and tell them they're wrong. Wouldn't be the first time they've been wrong. (I do believe you, though) Quote
