DragonLord
Hey all! I got to be a guest in the park today!!!! I LOVED IT! I go to the park promptly at 9am with two friends, of course we had to wait like everyone else to get to the rides at 10. Our first stop was The Beast, we were on the second train. Great ride, sat in the back loved it to death and really wished I could have been able to ride it again. Our second stop was the Egales, where I managed to get a few good snaps in. One of my friends snapped for the first time and started craking up! He loved it! We worked our way over to The Vortex, where I sat in the wrong seat and really banged up my legs. Other than that I had a great ride. Next up was Sponge Bob, not too thrilled about it. Hopefully the Temple one will be better. The Zypher wasn't opened yet and FoF was down so we went to The Racer... only the forward racer was opened so we rode that. Man did I miss that coaster! I love the air time and really enjoy the ride. When we got off the backwards racer was working again and we were right on it. Backwards is so much better than forward! We won the race too! Next up was Delirium!!! It was my first time riding (my friend's too) and we LOVED it! There is nothing in the park that comes close to that ride. It was just really, really cool! SOB was next and I was looking forward to the new bars but I didn't really notice a change. I still got banged up and I still think the ride is too ruff. I will probably avoid it in the future. After that we went to lunch, it was 12:50 by then. We left the park for lunch and got back around 2. We needed to do some slow things after eating so we went on SDATHC. I got the highest score out of the three of us: 870. Not bad since we had three in the car fighting over the targets. Next up was the log flum. Shorter than I remember, and not as fun. I didn't really get wet on the ride till that darned elephant sprayed me down. I got soaked on my entire right side. After that was Vortex again, this time with a much better seat. I enjoyed the ride much better, and I can still remember the feeling like I was going to fall out. The air time was much better as well in this seat. We hit Zypher next, it was finally opened. The ride op started singing "If your happy and you know it" and everyone on the ride sang along. When we had to stomp our feet she would ring the bell. That was fun, and was the first time I had seen anyone do that for a ride. Last for me was the Viking Ship. Still a great ride in the very back! I had to work at 4, so I said good bye to my friends and made my way to the locker room to change. I was at work by 4 and stayed till 10. My friends stuck around till close as well and had a blast! The longest I waited in a line today was 30 minutes and that was for Delirium and SOB. Most of the rides were walk ons or we only had to wait for a train or two. It was great!!!! shadow2k3
Yeah, as a time killer today I rode SOB and Delerium. SOB kicked the living crap out of me, and I got the the first ride of the day at Delerium. After that I just played DDR and went to work. We had fun at work. ~Shadow~
Mrs. G.
We are finally here!! Seven months is a long wait. Had fun finding a place to sleep last night, pulling in to the Mainstay at 11:30 and having no one on duty, no manager, and six guests besides me with guaranteed reservations trying to check in - after a very long hour on the "courtesy" phone got into another hotel at 1 AM. Got to the park around 1:00. Worth every penny, every hour driving, all the aggravation last night... Looks like we were everywhere you weren't, Dragonlord. Never made it to Vortex. Son of Beast was first, we waited for the double ride line, got there and - figures - the train coming in, a guy was barfing over the side. Sure we had to wait a little longer but if you ask me the operators can't possibly get paid enough, to clean up someone else's barf, while having stupid comments made to you. My hat is off to Frank and Matt at Son of Beast. Next over to Scooby, it's very bright and well done. I couldn't hit a target for beans. Got about a 300, lowest score on the scale. My daughter got a 1500 just firing willy nilly. One kid wanted to go on WWC, the other didn't, so I left my friend and kid at the footlong place, "get us hot dogs, we'll be right back." Right. About a 20 minute wait, we got on - and every drop of water drained out of the ride. That was weird. WWC was one ride I didn't think could possibly break down, and there we were for close to an hour while they got everybody off, shut power, and refilled. I do have a question - when you're out in the woods in that line and people are smoking what should you do? There was a really obnoxious group of 4 all smoking, of course the guy with the "BIG PECKERS" t-shirt was really interested in what I had to say about it. A little poetic justice, at least they got on before us and had to walk back and out when it drained. Then some slob in line picked up the internal phone when it rang and said something rude, we told the operators but he left just before they were going to tell him to leave...Jean and Sara at WWC also had a very tough time today and were very courteous and professional, with everybody crabbing at them...these people just don't get enough credit. Bought some new hot dogs to replace our two-hour-old ones, rode The Beast, played a bunch of games (Bowler Roller is daughter's specialty), rode Delerium - VERY cool, just too short - went back to The Beast, watched fireworks from the lift hill, and the day is over. Two more days left, bummer! PKI is an exceptional park in every way. Six Flags has awesome coasters - but they're all on asphalt, no themes, food stinks, no trees or grass - there is no comparison to riding The Beast through the woods and riding Superman - through the parking lot. She actually posts here on these forums (even though I haven't seen here here in awhile...) I try to do stuff like that sometimes, not like singing though. Sometimes if we only have a couple people riding, I'll have a screaming contest and whoever is loudest will get one of the dolls people can win at the park's games that hade been left at the ride and never claimed for days. I know Beast crew does this sometimes as well.
