1. There shouldn't be any problem with someone under 48" entering with an adult pass. Some have obtained adult passes for their kids early, if they expect them to surpass 48" during the season.

EDIT: If you are referring to measuring for ride wristbands, this is completely separate from checking height at park admission. There is no guarantee that a guest will "measure up" just because they have a 48"+ season pass.

If procedures from previous seasons are followed, someone very close to the 48" mark shouldn't have a problem entering with either type of pass.

2. In previous seasons, any fee charged was the difference in price from when you purchased the pass. If you purchased your gold pass in the fall, there is no difference in price.

They went a little crazy last season. I had to upgrade my oldest daughter's pass which wasn't a big deal. It didn't cost my anything because I had renewed it when there was no price difference between adult and child passes. It was a mild inconvenience. But then I got stopped for the youngest repeatedly. The youngest wasn't even three feet tall and was in a stroller most of the time. They would make her stand up and be measured despite the fact she was very obviously nowhere near the height or age limit.

I hope they show a little more restraint this season. The youngest still has a ways to go before she approaches an adult pass.

Back in 2008 I wanted to get the family passes and I wanted to get them at the lowest price of the season in the fall for the 2009 season. My oldest was just under 48" and I was curious of this exact situation. I called guest services and I was told that what hieght they are at point of purchase is what will hold true for the season of the pass being purchased. Sure enough the 2009 season my son was over 48" and over 50" by the end of the season. Not once were we ever stopped for his height and we went over a dozen times that season.

Couple of things, I believe, that you pay one price at point of sale. You shouldn't have to worry about getting caught and paying more later down the line. You paid the price with no intention of deceit. These are kids we are talking about, good business practices will go along way in that customer returning. Also, if they do ask you nicely to upgrade to adult, is that price based on current prices or when your orginal purchase was made? Either way it is good business to honor the original contract, at original point of sale.
