Looking to stay close to the park in a nice area with no rift raft.  Prefer an indoor pool will have a 8 year old and wife.  Country inn and suites seems good but a little pricey.  Looking to be at KD 6/7 to 6/10 and will spend a night at BGW on Sunday 6/10 before driving back on Monday.

I would avoid the hotels at the Kings Dominion exit. There are better hotels for less a short drive away.

Personally, I've had good stays at both of the Comfort Suites hotels on the north side of Richmond and at the Sleep Inn on E Parham Rd in Richmond. These locations are a relatively easy drive to KD, and I've usually found good deals.
