morganff102 Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Ok we all know what everyone's favorite coasters and flat rides and such are. But what are everyones favorite places to eat throughout the park? Whether or not it's to sit down for a meal, or just a quick bite to eat. Don't forget about the sweet treats. So post up your favs and let's see what is most liked at PKI. Quote
Tanner Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 As for real food it'd have to be Mandarin Cuisine (General Tso's Chicken) or a Bacon Cheeseburger from Festhaus, the one I had last year was very good. As for a sweet treat it would have to be blueberry ice cream. I usually get two while visiting. Quote
dxrunner Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 This is easy, Ice Cream zone in AZ, or the smoothie place on the way to beast for treats, as for food definatly Madarin Cuisine, I love chinese food Quote
DeliriumDreamer Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Rivertown's Potato Works fries. And a huge cup of cheese. Quote
StXBomber Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Fav Restaurant: Oscars (yeah yeah, I'm cheap) Fav Treat: ICEE!!! I love those things. Quote
ThatGuyInTheEmporium Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 I love Dippin' Dots, MMMmmmm. Too bad, I was in the park today with no money. Quote
fryler87 Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Why has nobody mentioned King's Island's famous funnel cakes? No trip to the Island is complete without a funnel cake!! Quote
crzycoasterlvr Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 smurfberry ice cream is by far the best thing in the park. mmmmmmmmmmmm. Quote
Tanner Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Why has nobody mentioned King's Island's famous funnel cakes? No trip to the Island is complete without a funnel cake!! Famous? How in the world are they famous, you can get them anywhere! Quote
fryler87 Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 Why has nobody mentioned King's Island's famous funnel cakes? No trip to the Island is complete without a funnel cake!! Famous? How in the world are they famous, you can get them anywhere! Pshh...they're famous in my book. I personally don't think I've had a better funnel cake. (Like the park uses some "special mix"...) Quote
Xx2cansamxX Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 This is easy, Ice Cream zone in AZ, or the smoothie place on the way to beast for treats I haven't seen that place open in a while. Is it closed or what? Quote
coasterbilly Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 of course Blueberry Ice Cream, but i like Chinese too. Quote
dxrunner Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Smothie shack place not closed, got a strawberry banana today And wow was it really good Quote
fryler87 Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 Amen to the funnel cakes...I got Sweet and Sour Chichen from Mandarin and I have to say, I wasn't terribly impressed. Then again, I live south of Dayton, where us folk are spoiled with possibly the best Chinese food in the state of Ohio. Quote
Tanner Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 No wonder you weren't impressed, Sweet and Sour Chicken isn't real Chinese food by my book! Actually alot of the food isn't in the chinese joints you find in town. Head on over to a Bamboo Club or PF Changs and you'll find the real stuff. Real chinese food is alot more dry than what you get at those small places. Quote
TheRickster Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Yea most of the chinese places in the country are like calling taco bell mexican food haha. I cant remember the name but one of my friends family owns a authentiac vietmanese (sp?) restauraunt here ive ate their a couple times. Its ok but id rather have the american-chinese food haha. Quote
PKI_Man Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 I go for a Cheese coney, and Larosas Calzone Quote
Beast_Queen Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 LaRosa's Pizza in Rivertown. So after I eat my lunch, I can rush straight to The Beast! Quote
TheSnapper Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 It sucks besides Skyline. We dont have much of a variety of food and we need a sit down restaurant more than IJST because its nice to have a nice place to eat and get waited on at an amusement park! 1 Quote
Tanner Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Since this thread has been brought back from the dead; I've noticed everyone is putting food that you can get on almost every street. Such as Skyline or LaRosa's. I don't see how that is so good or that it even is that good. Quote
TheKlockster Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 What about Montgomery Inn in Rivertown? I like LaRosa's (both inside and outside the park), as well as Subway. But Stunt Crew Grill has good food! Quote
PKI Homey Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I don't live close, so that's why I love LaRosa's Pizza. When I was first going to King's Island, my family usted to hit up the LaRosa's pizza firt thing when we got there. Still one of my fondest memories of the early KI (Pre-Paramount). Although, on my last trip, I got some popcorn chicken at the Potato Works that was pretty good. Most of the time, I like to get a waffle cone with soft serve vanilla. And, I just can't leave without a bag of cotton candy. Quote
MarketingExpress Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Funnel Cakes are always a classic. But find me another amusement park where you can enjoy a steaming hot plate of Skyline Chili. 1 Quote
