TOPGUN1993 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I was looking at old PKI Pictures and I found this picture from Coney Island and one from PKI. Coney Island http://www.klockster.com/gallery/displayim...album=19&pos=11 PKI http://www.pkicentral.com/parkinfo/history...?album=2&pos=44 I am wondering if PKI sold it to Coney or not . Quote
CoastersRZ Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 No, the Trabant at Coney is not the same one that was formerly the Wheel of Fortune at Kings Island. The Wheel of Fortune at Kings Island was in fact the relocated Cloud Nine from Coney Island. After Kings Island removed Wheel of Fortune, they sold it to Fantasy Farm. When Fantasy Farm closed in 1992, its rides were auctioned off. Coney Island purchased the Tilt-A-Whirl from Fantasy Farm and the now defunct Sky Fighters. I`m not sure where the Kings Island Trabant was sent to. Quote
Shaggy Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 The King's Island Trabant "Wheel of Fortune" was indeed sold to Fantasy Farm. When Fantasy Farm closed, the rides were auctioned. The Trabant was purchased at that auction and operates still today at Delgrossos park. It still retains all of it's original "Wheel of Fortune" roulette whell theming to this day. Shaggy Quote
