KIfan73
I'm heading to PKI tomorrow. It shows rain in the morning...if it does rain, will they usually just open the rides after it rains, or when they shut them down are they down for good? The Interpreter
If it only rains, most rides will stay open. If there is lightning, then the rides will close. They will reopen after the storm passes, though; so long as there is at least a reasonable number of people in the park.
PKIVortex
Don't listen to the weather guys, they don't know what they are talking about. On Friday they said they were going to be thunderstorms durning day, and all it did during the day was rain a little. Yes it did storm pretty bad last night. They said storms all day for today as well. They were some storms early in the morning before the park even opened. But it was a great day yet again at PKI. But what was already said is correct. The rides will remain open in the rain. As long as no severe weather is in the area everything will stay open.
The Interpreter
Not only that, but even they say that though it may storm in the morning, the afternoon looks pretty darn good: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning...then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Cooler with highs in the mid 60s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
KIfan73
Thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it. I'm looking forward to it. I'm a teacher, and I have a long weekend off. I just found out after all these years that there's a mall close to KI, so I may go there for a little while if its raining. Thanks again!
