Beast79
Holiday World Trip report. Being my first trip I was very excited. Me and a group of friends set sail on a Voyage at 7:30 towards Holiday World. There were six of us so we took two cars. By the time we got there we all wore getting very excited and there she was standing there with all its glory Voyage. We pull in, park and sents we are a bunch of pasty white guys my friends had to slap on the sun screen, myself who is already pretty tan by now from installing Nick theming at PKI I skipped it and watched with amazement when I saw Raven rounding the sharp curve by the water. First ride Raven. Wow, I’ve seen pov’s on video but riding it is something else. Airtime, curves, hills bumps and all. A very nice coaster overall. Second The Legend a little longer than Raven. I liked how they rang the school bell when the train leaves the station, and the wolf howls at the top of the lift. I love the first Swooping drop and the lateral g turns making it hard to hold up your arms around the turns. Overall very nice maybe a little longer but still like Raven a little more. Then came Voyage, Warning this being my own opinion and being in and around amusement parks my whole life by riding, operating and yes even construction and maintenance. Voyage is now my favorite wood coaster of all time. I will always hold Beast in my heart after riding it for seventeen years but wow did Voyage just blow it out of the water. Airtime, tunnels, 90degree turns and just out of control action Voyage has to be the first coaster to make the voices in my head stand there in silence, and that triple drop hill after the block break was just crazy, zooming zip zaps and bumpity bumps. From the first drop to the final break run you just have to grab the helm of this ship and hold on and hope you don’t go over board. Gobbler Giveaway was fun there was a lot of scenes with out targets, but you have to like a ride where you have grandma petting her old cat Miss Tinkles and point her ray gun turkey caller at your head. You have to ride it to understand. I really liked HW’s water park. Jungle racers were a blast once I figured out how to push over hard, grab some airtime at the bottom. Overall a very nice day very clean park, good food, very nice associates and good times. Rode Raven 4 times, Legend 3 times and The Voyage 5 times. Tried to keep it short. DeLorean Rider
Awesome report man. Yea I made it to holiday world on the first tuesday they were open this year and it was awesome as always. The voyage, best wood coaster I've ever been on hands down. There was absolutely no line so we got to ride it 6 times without getting off. Jasper
Well i always though that Holiday World was just some old rinky dink park in Indiana. But now that i have heard what it is like i might have to make a trip there someday with my family. My grandfather was actually the one who was wanting ot go there but i though it would be a bad experience.
BoddaH1994
The park as a whole is kind of like Americana on steriods, it's that "home" feeling that really puts the park over the edge.
