Chantal Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 last week i went to Kings Island and so since the SOB was closed my dad, sister amanda, and me decided to ride tomb raider. mom decided not to because it goes upside down and she can't stand stuff like that. so anyway when we walked in. the place was awesome. i mean it was like something that could curse you if you know what i mean. i was real nervous about riding this ride because it went upside down. okay when the moment we got into our seats or harness. i was like no i can't do this! but i told myself its gonna be okay. so rode the ride. my sister and dad hated it! but i loved it!!! so next year i'm ride tomb raider first thing! Deliriumbeast Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Sorry, fusiondude, not me.Why don't you like Tomb Raider? I think Tomb Raider is an awesome ride with great theming! In some ways Tomb Raider reminds of a Universal ride! Sorry you don't like it. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. Quote
ScootZilla Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 TR is a very nice ride.I have rode TR more then a dozen time and have had atleast 4-5 different rides on it very nice ride. Scoot Quote

The Texas Twister at Geauga Lake is much better, albeit a smaller version. It does several more flips and is just plain more fun. Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Because I have been on better. The Texas Twister at Geauga Lake is much better, albeit a smaller version. It does several more flips and is just plain more fun. I agree totally. They sacrificed the ride's ability (which is to flip you tons more than TR:TR does) to try and tell a dumb story based on a bad movie (which you can't even hear anymore because the sound is so bad.) It's like taking a ride like the Scrambler and putting a ton of theming on it and spinning you once around so it looks like you'll hit spikes on a wall then backwards once or twice towards something else and then it's over. I'd prefer the Scrambler do what it was intended to do, which is spin you a bunch and forget the boring theming. Quote
PhantomTheater Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Texas Twister does rule! Watching the midway become one with the sky is alot more fun then inside a box. Quote
Mr. Christopher Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Actually, the sound isn't bad. It's pretty darn good, in fact. Quote
StXsteven Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 The fact I've never heard the music on the ride makes me think otherwise but IDK Quote
vortex31 Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Maybe CF will get rid of the Tomb Raider name, keep the queue line theming and reprogram the ride to add more flips and ride excitement. That would be great. This ride still has potential. Quote
Jasper Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I will ride TOmb Raider if it has no line and i can just walk right in adn walk right off because i dont think tha it is worth waiting over 20 minutes for. Quote
Pkirocker77 Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Tomb Raider is my favorite ride in the park. Of course I've never been on another Top Spin to comapare it to. Quote

I hate Texas Twister or any other standard Huss top spin for that matter. They are by far the most painful rides because of the darn bar that pushes down on your shoulder harness and into the genital region. I've been on Texas Twister once and will never go again. I'll be lucky to have kids after what that stupid ride did to me. In my opinion, TR:TR is far superior to any standard Huss top spin for the simple reason that it doesn't crush your nuts (well at least as bad). Quote
Chantal Posted July 30, 2006 Author Posted July 30, 2006 this is a bit crazy for me to say but i think the tomb raider is a baby compared to The Beast. because i always get chills when i'm about to get on The Beast. but with tomb raider i can ride, no big deal! Quote
