Question. Do the gates open prior to the stated opening time like they did in the old days or are still forced to wait outside the terrorist detectors until 10 AM?

on saturday, the gates opened at 9 to let people in to the park. Only the area by the gate was accessible till 10.

Saturday the gates didn't open at 9 as I was setting out in the road till 9:30 waiting for them to open the gates to the tolls.

That's odd. The South Gates opened at 9:04 AM on Saturday. They didn't start letting guests in the admissions area until about 9:20. And of course, people were held in the area in front of the fountain until 10. The ACE walkback, which was to Racer, involved about 50 people ducking under the ropes in front of the public, the latter not being amused AT ALL about that.

Didn't know the south was open. When I got there at around 9:15 there was a line at the north toll coming from the south and north so I thought the south one was closed.
