The Interpreter Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 And Monster and Scrambler . . . Why did you say Racers, though? The Shooting Star was the remaining Coney Island coaster, and it wasn't relocated, but rather, sadly, destroyed. The trains from the Shooting Star continue to run on Racer today, though; along with two others purchased just for Racer. They have also been heavily modified over the years. Quote
PKIVortex Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Yeah Racer didn't come from Coney Island. Racer was built new at KI. Rumor is though a few trains were from the shooting star though. Not sure if it's true or not. Anyone know? Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Uh, you might try reading the post right above yours! Yes, the Shooting Star trains run on The Racer. Along with two others! Quote
PKIVortex Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 LOL sorry. I wasn't paying attention, rough day today. Do we know which trains they are? Probably not. Quote
DropZone99 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 did you know that at Cedar Point on the space needle, people where stranded for like 8 hours on it??? Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 PKIVortex, there are those who know. I am told the blue train on forwards Racer is one, which is the other I have no idea any more...I used to know...plus there is nothing to keep them from changing colors when they repaint. Quote
PKIVortex Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Yeah that's true. I doubt they did though. Did they always run, one red and one blue per side, or did it use to be one side was red and other was blue? Quote
PKIVortex Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I still remember when the front of the trains said Red Racer on the red train, and Blue Racer on the blue train. I also seem to remember the blue being a little darker on the blue trains too. Quote
DropZone99 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 i miss the old park fealing before IJ:ST came, i hate that ride, antique cars where much better. hopefully Cedar Fair can some how make the park have an old fealing. Quote
