Dane Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 Long time no trip report from me. Well lets get this thing started. Got to the park at 9am to take advantage of the gold pass early ride times. Ryan and I walked straight towards SOB to get the first ride in the front seat. After the first ride Ryan discovered the SOB puked on him and he was covered in a mysterious brown and black fluids and some good'ol grease. After 3 rides we were off to FACE/OFF. FACE/OFF was still soak and wet from the morning rain. We sat on the end and I had a constant stream of water dripping down my back. We took about 4 rides and waved to the incoming guests every time. At 10 ropes dropped to the GP. We (unlike all the others) calmly walked through Coney Mall. We swam to our tubs on the flyers. (This was my first rides after the new parts and maintenance.) They are very tight now and snapping just isn't as good. Needless to say we took 7 rides on them. Than a ride on The Beast (front row). After Beast we left the park to go to Chipotle. When we got back we went directly to Boomerang Bay... Racers (Best Ride in the park) Tazzy (Good Air) Jackaroo (Always a pleasure) Sidney Sidewinder (Needs painted) Snowy River (Good Ride) Lazy River (Cold water, half of the effects were out, bubbles were working well) Racers (Still best ride) Tazzy (Good airtime) Barrier Reef (Tiles are broken and I took the job of picking it all up.) Left and went to the cars for cameras. FACE/OFF was having problems when we walked in. Went to see the Nickelodeon Celebration Parade. It's still jucken and a jiving, that is, when tech services wasn't playing around with unplugging and replugging the sound on the bandstand. (And you all know that pop sound it makes when you plug a jack into a amp.) (I heard alot of complaints about it. ) After the Parade we bought some Cinnamon Maple Sugar from the Chippery, than a doubled up ride on the Flyers. And yes we snapped it hard. Left the park again to go to Burger King where they were extremely slow. Came back to the park and caught a magical ride on the Adventure Express, raceR, FOF (yes the cars are still in there), and Vortex all in the front seat. 9pm and its time for the Flyers get together. We all meet up and get in line and about after one cycle the ride breaks down. It was broken down for the rest of the night so we left... We stopped infront of the fountains to watch the fireworks. It was extremely windy and it was surprising to see them. Said our goodbyes and left for home in pouring rain... with my camera safely located in Ryans backseat still. Quote
