Rustbucket
As I need to be in Detroit for a business meeting on Friday, I headed up to Cedar Point for a little R&R. I got to the park at 1:30 pm. It was not a busy day by any means. The Maxx pass entry was different from last year. I had Knotts Berry Farm pass for the past four years and went through Guess Relations building. This year they put a stamp on my arm and told me to go through the re-entry gate. I went straight toward MF as I usually do. I waited about 10 minutes for my first ride on the back seat of the Blue Train. The ride was fatastic as usual. MF is my third favorite steel coaster after Magnum and X. After the ride, I headed toward Maverick. The ride was closed!@##@! There were quite a few people waiting for the ride, however. (Since I waited almost 4 hours for Firehawk on Saturday, I did not want to wait for this one.) I walked toward Magnum. It was closed as well! I walked toward MF again. For the next 100 minutes, I rode MF 9 times for the total of 10. While riding MF, I noticed that Maverick was running so that I went over to Maverick again. The sign by the gate showed 1 1/2 hour wait. At this time, I wanted to ride this so I got on line. After about 20 minutes, the ride broke down. The ride was down for about 35 minutes but I waited on. During this time, more than 1/2 of the people in the queue left. By the time I got to the ride, the total wait was around 1 hour. I guess the wait was shorter because the ride broke down. I got on 2:1. As for the ride, the first launch was somewhat slow. This launch was slightly faster than the second launch of Italian Jobs. The first drop was quite good. 95 degree drop was somewhat unexpected. The barrel role and twists felt more like Storm Runner at Hershey Park but at a faster speed. The train slowed down to almost complete stop under the station before the second launch. This launch was as fast as IJST first launch. The twists and turns were more intense than the first half even though the tracks were not very high throughout the second half of the ride. I thought the ride was quite intense but I still think Fight of Fear is a better ride (before the mid course brake was turned on so high). Firehawk is also a better ride. Of course, this is my opinion. After the ride, I headed over to Magnum and rode on 6:1. I still love this ride even though Voyage has displaced Magnum as my favorite roller coaster. I exited the park around 5:45. I spend 4 hours and 15 minutes at the park and had 10 MF, 1 Magnum and 1 Maverick ride. Not bad! I will return here whenever possible (6 times last year). CP is still my favorite place to spend my time. How I wish KI has Magnum, MF or Raptor!
The Interpreter
Was Magnum still running only one train?
Rustbucket
Was Magnum still running only one train? One train. I waited about 5 minutes for one ride.
The Interpreter
Thanks. Five minutes? Wow. I'm envious!

The Interpreter
That's nice. It's the five minute wait for Magnum that has me envious. If MF were a total walk on, and Magnum had a five minute wait...I know where I'd be. On the other hand, if TTD were 20 minutes at the same time... TTD had about 15 minutes wait except both times I was near the ride, it was down. Raptor was a walk on as well. I think that Maverick tied up quite a few people. The Interpreter
Well, to be honest, I'd be with the Maverick people. I has got to get up there!
