  1. Seems like somebody didn't use the smoothing tool on Twisted Cyclone! Imo, this year seems like a decent year for Six Flags. Not as bad as last year, but CF still beat them by a mile. However, I've always found it funny how Six decides to announce almost everything in one video. One second you'll see one ride announced, then just after that you see the exact same thing announced for another park.
  2. To be completely honest, when I first saw the picture I thought it WAS photo shopped
  3. Around 7 years ago, I'd be the one who would not even consider riding anything like Mystic Timbers. AE's layout was perfect for me.
  4. I don't think so. I just bought it off steam and was done.
  5. Planet Coaster's style has always given me a Cedar Fair feeling. From its crispness and all the blue it uses. I'm glad they are partnering!
  6. Not to mention, I think Vekoma could also supply parts. Speaking of Vekoma.... If Kings Island wanted to, could they go get Vekoma to get their Vest Restraint trains and put them on Vortex? Just wondering.
  7. It's the best song ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb1OWOaba38
  8. Sorry, but I can't go with either. But I will go with a third option! I completely forget the name though... I know it starts with "A".... If only there were something on here that showed me what....
  9. Should we break out The Vortex Song?
  10. Hey! HEY! I SEE YOU UP THERE! WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU THINK YER DOIN'?! Seriously, guys, you need to take that truck and go home to your video games! Yeah it does sound reaalll cheesy. An update on the lines or the voices would be real nice. However, I do like the voice at the entrance to the ride. I think it really fits the theme.
  11. I agree that B&M will most likely be the ones building the Giga at KI, but simply because I don't really know why, why does it seem like Cedar Fair doesn't trust Intamin all that much? I guess I've just never really payed any attention to that.
  12. Here's a couple. "Vortex is actually called Vortex because one of the designers didn't like tornadoes." "Why the heck is The Beast made of wood? It's just going to collapse within a year due to rain." "The shed that Mystic Timbers uses is actually the station for S.O.B. They are reusing it because they are too lazy to actually build a shed." "I can't believe they actually replaced Mean Streak with Blue Streak! It's such a downgrade!" "Kings Island is so unsafe. Why keep Vortex open if it's sinking!?!"
  13. Vortex has always been one of my favorite rides and Kings Island, not to mention one of my favorite Arrow coasters in general. If I had to guess when it would be removed, I'd guess somewhere around 2020 or 2022.
  14. It just feels so weird. I remember going to the state fair in 2015 and riding that ride, and only two years later someone dies on it. I was even thinking about going to the fair this year, but didn't because of band.
  15. Dang...I never got to ride these. Whatever they decide to replace it with, it better be good. Plot twist: It's replaced with a heavily themed Vekoma Boomerang
  16. I guess, but with something like the Suspended Coaster I would assume they'd continue to make, considering how very few parks actually have them.
  17. I didn't think this subject would fit anywhere else, so I posted it here. If this is the wrong place to post, sorry! Anyways, one thing that has always bugged me was why S&S only really sells one Arrow product, which is their 4D Coaster. They bought Arrow, or at least their assets, right? So if a park really wanted to, could they get S&S to make them a Arrow-like Looping Coaster or suspended coaster? I guess I just don't get why S&S doesn't make any of those.
  18. I wish more parks would get Chance/Morgan to redo their old Arrow coasters instead of just throwing them out the window. We've seen it done with Phantom's Revenge, and it was pretty dang successful. I feel like coasters such as Viper will be taken down soon due to people complaining about roughness, instead of giving it a makeover to make it even better.
  19. I would be expecting some flats, but that Wild Mouse idea is also great. I hope they will do something like that one day
  20. Last time I went to Kings Island, Vortex's trains were almost always full, and the wait was around 25+ minutes. It was a Sunday.
  21. I've never tried out a ride with VR on it. But from what I've seen, it just increases wait time and I hear people complain about being sick afterwords. So I guess I'll vote No and None.
  22. Vortex was THE coaster that got me over my fear of Roller Coasters. Not to mention, I still find it to be very fun, and not as bad as other Custom Loopers. And one time when I rode it, the kids in front of me absolutely loved the ride and kept saying they wanted to go again. I feel like with all the negative things made about it that its life is near its end. I'd be really happy if I'm wrong, however. And I hope I am.
  23. So I made an account yesterday to reply to the lady talking about how there should be a daycare center. I said "Yeah, if only there were an award winning kids area for them to have fun in... oh wait!" Checked again today. It was marked for spam. Oh boy.
