I have seen Orion break down once. Looked to be an issue with one of the rows on the train. Was at Cedar Point this weekend and it always seemed GateKeeper and valraven were down a lot

Going to look great. Glad to see that area getting some much needed love.

THe last time I rode the ride was a few years ago because I was lucky enough to walk on. I literally felt like the ride was going to tear itself apart.

I have been sitting on KI drive for the last 35 minutes- crawling along. The park is about as slammed as it gets. They are parking cars in the grass next to the road.
Diamondback: 150 min
Orion: 180 min
Banshee: 90 min
Mystic: 90 min
Beast: 150 min
Flight of Fear: 150 min
I would love too see some pictures of the crowds.

Imma get bashed for this but the Voyage. My last ride banged me up so bad I couldn't wait to get off.

As anyone ventured over the kids area lately. I think that is the area right now beside the water park that needs the biggest overhaul.

Tomorrow will be the first day I have missed opening day of haunt since Fear Fest was introduced due to a surgery tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to attend next week!

I am thinking Son of Beast has been my favorite lift hill. There was just something about the sound of that chain!

My main concern is for the family. This should never happen! This is not the first to TtD has been in the light for the wrong reasons. Time to swallow the pill and remove this thing.

I loved Griffon at Busch Gardens. I am all for a good ole B&M dive coaster to take the place of Vortex. I think if done right it could even keep the old school feel that area has to it.

Here is why. The ride is supposed to generate guest and money for the park. People dont care about an extra 13ft or extra 1000ft of track. This would have cost the park millions of dollars extra with no increased ROI. My biggest complaint with Orion is location. I think the ride would have been better served towards the front of the park and be interactive with the park entrance.

Sadly no one wants to hear me sing.

My first ride with Orion I wasn't overly impressed. Now that I have a few more rides on it the ride is very impressive. I would rank it within my top 5 coasters I have been on. Do I wish it had a little more track length. Of course. Do I think it was a missed opportunity for Cedar Fair. Absolutely, still a great ride even though it was t what we were Expecting.

Obviously painting on site didn't protect the steel used on the ride.

An Orion lift hill climb

I was not a fan of Cinnamon bread but apple pie? We may have to try this. Has anyone else tried the fried cookie dough. On the outside they dont look like much but they are amazing!

On our Carowinds trip the Fast Lane plus was a must to if you wanted to ride Vortex or the mine train there. The Vortex had dispatch times in the 10 minute range!

Looks like someone's password has been compromised.

I don't think you should try this if you are counting calories. LOL!
I tried JukeBox Diner for the first time in awhile on Saturday. While the line moved terribly slow the food I got was good and piping hot. The food service has completely been turned around this year. We used to go to Skyline alot in the park because it was generally safe and quick but I am happy at what I am seeing. Our visits have been less this year than in years past but sometime life gets in the way.

Was this an accident? It seems Cedar Fair doesnt seem to interested in trying to restore Kings Dominion.

I'm not sure this is something I miss, but could always be heard halfway across the park. Son of Beasts anti rollbacks.
The sound yes. The ride not so much

Line jumping has almost always happened (can't speak to like Coney back in the roaring 1920s LOL).
I think FL has given some that do not have the money for FL the idea that it is ok to line jump. With many of the queues being close together, I have seen as someone else pointed out, someone entering the main line to get past the front of line employee, jump into FL line and then re-enter regular line just out of site of the ride separator at the station.
I remember when the park used to have signs posted that was just about line-jumping and being ejected from the park at the entrance of many rides. Now they are non-existent and/or buried among the wall of text sign at almost every entrance, so nobody reads them, just like my wall of text posts LOL.
Like everything, social media has allowed our knowledge of it happening to be more front and center. Most people post negative on social media "The place sucks - long lines and line jumpers all day" type posts. Very few post about the wonderful, event-free day they experienced.
But in my opinion the bigger issue are those that feel it is necessary to vape and smoke in a queue line. I see that way more often than line-jumpers.
More employees in the queues would be a start to solve both problems.
While it sucks to see line-jumpers, I do not think it is to the point that much will be done at this point. They say you can tell an employee or text the hotline number.
Unless they hand out numbers at the entrance and the line separator checks numbers and boots out anyone out of sequence or without a number, you really cannot put enough staff in the queues to prevent it.
Virtual queue could solve this.

Seems that Six Flags is recovering from a lackluster 2020 season quicker than Cedar Fair. I think they also handled everything much better.
