If its two sides like Coney BBQ that would be a terrible waste of money assuming they open both sides as often as they do Coney BBQ, which I’ve maybe seen twice in that building’s history.
no its quick service so like one window with seating on both sides

Phew, they ripped out the orange concrete for proper sign installation, and painted the fences for Linus Launcher.
Yeah tons of photos i didnt post. Right by Linus's Launchers they are doing stained concrete. They also painted those bathrooms Brown. Its going to look really good once its all done.

Outta curiosity, does anyone think the fastlane at CP is worth the price you pay? Anyone have experience with it. I've always been the old school stand in line type of guy and if you don't ride everything you come back another day but this year I'm going with three guys who have never gone so I'm wondering if fastlane is an investment we need to make... I mean I have no idea what to expect concerning crowd levels with TT2 opening this year
It all depends how many times i go a year, i usually go at least 1 time so then i get it so i know i can ride everything.

Who remembers this tour @DonHelbig did for the blog readers at the time. I believe this was the last tour given.

It could also be a state thing. Looking at Cedar Point's webcams, they don't show TT2.
that might be true but its also Cedar Point were talking about. You know how Tony Clark is!

From the Kings Island website:
Franklin's FlyersYou can fly!Riders take flight in one of the unique carriages that spin outward like a swing and then rise above the ground. Once in the air, riders can take matters in their own hands by operating the carriage’s paddle in order to control the gliders flight, from mild to wild. Fly the way your heart desires, as all eight gliders have a unique route that only the rider can determine. Go for a fun and thrilling ride 28 feet in the air, weaving in and out of the clouds, maneuvering your way through the Camp Snoopy midway. Whether you choose to explore the high altitudes or cruise at a lower elevation, the choice is up to you. Woodstock Gliders is a ride that appeals to guests of all ages and something everyone in the family can enjoy together. It’s so much fun! You’ll want to ride this attraction more than once.
Kings Island Team, you're welcome... again!
lol good eye, its still on there too haha

The park blog said that it was completed at 1:08 p.m. on Monday. I don’t get why this wasn’t shared yesterday.seems like they lacked that information

Good grief! How is this "breaking news?" It has been released by the park on their channels and discussed here. I mean, let's call the OG iPhone "breaking news" in your channel's next segment!
thanks for the hate, its people like you that make the world a better place
keep thinking about that! anything else?

Something interesting to note is that Kentucky Kingdom changed their profile picture on facebook yesterday. It now says "Kentucky Kingdom Theme & Water Park" instead of the normal "Kentucky Kingdom & Hurricane Bay".

SOB isn't going anywhere for quite a while. it normally runs 2 trains (with the third always around for back-up as far as i know) but one valied about a week ago so they will have to have it inspected before it can run again. i'm not sure where the back-up train is right now but o well. so that's why it's been down to one this week.. and it's only been ONE WEEK it's not like it's been a whole season or anything. i mean come on, they just got off from the off-season. they just need to get warmed up again.

All of these cuts sort of make me wonder if renewing is worth it this year. On one hand, I want to. As a lover of KI and other CF parks, I want to be able to know I have the ability to go whenever I want and enjoy them as needed. But on the same token, seeing the cuts in areas that could affect the guest experience makes me leery what other things might get cut throughout the season. Seeing important positions get cut is heartbreaking for a myriad of reasons. I never had a reason or need for a park ambassador on my visits, but knowing that they helped make such a positive difference for so many people's days is a terrible loss to be had. And seeing the wage cuts I feel will impact staffing numbers as well as the quality of staff. You go from paying folks $18-20 an hour back down to the $14-15 an hour range...that is going to turn a lot of possible prospects away. All these cuts and yet the prices for things remains at a premium. I guess I will decide by April if I will renew. I feel sad for saying that, but if I am going to drop the coin on a fully loaded pass I want to be certain I am willing to accept any further cuts that will inevitably be seen/felt throughout this season. I feel sad saying that as a passholder since 2010. But this is the reality.
TBH i know the cuts and prices going up suck but also ive been going there my whole life, nothing will stop me from going, even if i dont agree with an option the park makes, theres nothing we can do about it. Just cause you say youre not going to go, thats not going to affect the park at all if 1 person dont go. I love Kings Island and alway have. So i will support the park by getting a pass every year and making memories. Does it suck some of my good friends dont work there anymore, yes, yes it stinks. But theres nothing you or i can do about it. I feel bad for them 2 of the park ambassadors were good friends of mine. But day in and day out is a business decision. Good luck and hope you return to Ki!
