I know Gabe already made a really nice video but I'm really bored so why not make a detailed timeline of the great decade of the 2000's.

2000:

-The worlds TALLEST, FASTEST, ONLY LOOPING wooden roller coaster opens at Paramounts Kings Island known as "Son of Beast".

-The TALLEST and FASTEST roller coaster known as "Millinium Force" opens at Cedar Point. This is the first Giga coaster ever made or exceed 300 feet.

-Only a few weeks after Cedar Point debut "Millinium Force"."Steel Dragon" at Nagashima Spa Land opens then gaining the worlds TALLEST,FASTEST coaster status.

-Goliath added to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

-Six Flags expands their newly bought park in Ohio that became known as Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. Such things like "Beaver Land Mine Ride", "Villain" and "Dominator" were added.

-"The Boss" added at Six Flags St.Louis

-"Superman Ride Of Steel" added at Six Flags America and Six Flags New England.

-"Legend" added to Holiday world.

2001:

-Six Flags expands at all major parks. "Deja Vu" inverted Mega boomerangs showed up at Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Over Georgia, "Nitro" added to Six Flags Great Adventure, "X-Flight" was added to Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, "Titan" was added to Six Flags Over Texas and "Road Runner Express" added at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom

2002:

-"X" added to Six Flags Magic Mountain the worlds first 4th Dimension coaster.

-"Wicked Twister" the worlds TALLEST and FASTEST Impulse coaster was added at Cedar Point.

-Six Flags Holland adds "Goliath" a Intamin hyper coaster.

-"Superman Ultimate Flight" added at Six Flags Over Georgia.

2003:

-"Greezed Lightnin added to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.

-Cedar Point unviles the words TALLEST and Fastest roller coaster on Earth known as "Top Thrill Dragster". It is the first coaster to reach 100mph and go over 400ft,It's also the first "Strata" coaster ever built.

-Scream added at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

-2 "Superman Ultimate Flights" added at Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Great America.

2004:

-"Storm Runner" added to Hersheypark.

-Kings Island's Waterworks gets a Australian makeover and is renamed to "Boomerang Bay"

2005:

-"Italian Job Stunt Track" added at all major Paramount park, this would prove to be one of the last big additions by Paramount.

-Historic Six Flags Astroworld closes.

-Hurricane pounds New Orleans leaving Six Flags New Orleans in water ruining most of the parks rides and attractions, the park has not been open since although the rides are still there.

-"Kingda Ka" opens at Six Flags Great Adventure making it the worlds TALLEST and FASTEST roller coaster and the 2nd Strata Coaster ever built. "Kingda Ka" was part of a multi million dollar project at Great Adventure.

2006:

-Eltoro added at Six Flags Great Adventure getting rave reviews.

-"Goliath" a B&M Hyper coaster added to Six Flags Over Georgia.

-"Psyclone" destroyed at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

-"Tatsu" added at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

-Cedar Fair buys Six Flags Ohio and changes the name back to Geagua Lake

-"X-Flight" and "Steel Venom" both removed from Geagua Lake.

-"Voyage" a world class wooden coaster is added at Holiday World for a huge expansion with the addition of the Thanksgiving area which includes some flat rides and a restraunt..

-All Paramount Parks are sold to Cedar Fair Entertainment Company

2007:

-Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom opens the worlds TALLEST and FASTEST water coaster for a huge waterpark makeover.

-Flashback destroyed at Six Flags Magic Mountain

-"Firehawk" a Vekoma flyer relocates from Geagua Lake to Kings Island.

-"Voodoo" a Impulse coaster relocated from Geagua Lake to Dorney Park.

-Tragedy unfolds at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom as a girls feet were severd on the "Superman: Tower of Power". The rides closes and gets dismantled over the off season.

-"Maverick" added at Cedar Point.

-Geagua Lake permanently closes the ride side of the park leaving it only a waterpark.

2008:

-"X" at Six Flags Magic Mountain get a whole makeover. Including new trains, new effects and a whole new theme. Named changed to "X2"

-"Goliath" a B&M invert was removed from Six Flags New Orleans and added to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

-Northwest Territory at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom closes which includes "Twisted Twins" and "Mile High Falls"

-"Behemoth" Canada's TALLEST and FASTEST coaster ever built opens, A B&M Hyper.

2009:

-"Diamondback" a B&M Hyper was added to Kings Island.

-"Prowler" a GCI wooden roller coaster is added to Worlds of Fun.

-"Carolina Cobra" is added to Carowinds after being relocated from Geagua Lake.

-"Manta" a new experience in Flying coasters was added to Seaworld Orlando.

-"Pilgrims Plunge" the worlds TALLEST and FASTEST water ride is added to Holiday world. It's the first of its kind with the elevator lift.

-"Superman:Ride of Steel" at Six Flags New England and Medusa at Six Flags Great Adventure get a "Bizzaro" makeover giving them a whole new theme, effects, trains, story line and a new color scheme (Blue and Purple)

-Chang a B&M standup caster closes at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom making it the 6th ride removed in 2 years at Kentucky Kingdom. Chang will be moved to Six Flags Great America.

2010:

-"Intemidator 305" the 2nd Giga Coaster to be built is added to Kings Dominion.

-"Intemidator" a B&M Hyper is added to Carowinds.

-"Shoot The Rapids" is added to Cedar Point.

-"Wildebeast" to open at Holiday world, it will be the worlds largest and longest watercoaster.

-Six Flags closes their Kentucky park "Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom" and it's future is still yet unknown.

Well, it was indeed the TALLEST and FASTEST roller coaster known as "Millennium Force," I will give it that. But Superman was faster at Magic Mountain, and even operated at times back then!

Also, among other things, you have the Paramount Parks acquisition by Cedar Fair listed in 2007...it was not, it was effective June 30, 2006.
