  1. Highly, highly ironic. How long are the moderators going to let this troll go on? Until our cowboy coaster is built with those boat credits, of course. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  2. Voyage rough? Today I thought it was smooth for a wooden coaster. Aggressive? Very. Rough? Not more than a normal wooden. I mean, I could have ridden it on a great day and you could have ridden on a terrible day, but still, I'd have to argue its smoother than The Racer. I, a spritely young teenager, cannot ride it unless I get a center seat because of the jack hammering. It is unbearable for me and I have to wait a while to even get on another ride. As for the two CCI coasters, the Legend was pretty smooth, probably due to retracking, while the Raven was rougher than the rest, but not unbearable. I'd say these smooth rides are due in part to upkeep by the park itself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last year, the Legend was the second roughest woodie I'd ever ridden. It was VERY rough. I don't consider Voyage "rough" because it's such an aggressive and violent coaster that there is no way it could ever be "smooth." I still wonder how it would've ridden with the Timberliners. But I know they didn't help Hades much. Granted Mt Olympus doesn't maintain their rides well. I don't think RFII is very rough though. Again, they're all just very aggressive woodies. Millennium Flyers on the Voyage might be nice...but Holiday World seems to love their PTCs (which in all honesty i'm not the biggest fan of)The Voyage also received a good amount of track work this off season though. And it is definitely smoother than the Raven this year. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  3. And this is why GCI doesn't build massive woodies. They just become too aggressive and rough when they're that tall and fast. I'm also a Dinn/Summers fan. Their coasters get too much hate. Except Predator. It really is that bad. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  4. This is true, but the most experimental thing GCI has ever done was use a steel support structure...Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  5. I don't think GCI would ever build something as massive as the Voyage. That's just not their style. But for the right money, who knows. They might. GCI tends to play it safe and do what they do best. GG will really push the boundaries and do insane things with their woodies. I mean look at Switchback and Hades...Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  6. I was there yesterday and the park was DEAD. The biggest issue with Holiday World is that it's in the middle of nowhere and the crowds don't really pick up until summer. But on really busy days in the summer, even 2 trains isn't enough on The Voyage. It really should run 3. At least the track was actually greased today. It wasn't on opening day and the thing was screeching like crazy, as was the Raven. The Legend was screeching yesterday, the tunnels aren't finished, and it's been closed periodically because the ride is still being worked on. My few visits there this year have been pretty disappointing. Hopefully things are running smoothly by summer. Not to mention the Scrambler is sitting in pieces.. They really should have delayed opening day and gotten themselves together. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  7. Personally I still feel the colors of the cups mean nothing. The entire chain is using the same colors. For the cups, the cup has (at least for the past few years) coincided with the major coaster that year. 2014 was purple for Banshee, 2015 teal/blue for Fury, 2016 is Orange for Valravn. The Green may have been picked at random just to have a different color to differentiate between the cups, since this is the first time they're offering 2 cups as an option. But who knows? Maybe the green is a sign of what's to come for next year. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  8. Blue? (Not sure who to credit for the photo it's from Google) Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  9. I still wanna know why Adventure Express is a "5" on the thrill rating. It's SO aggressive. The cut out for the trim brake definitely makes it look like a hyper/giga. Those are typically the only B&M models that come with trims from the start. The others are just added on as needed. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  10. Black lights on the lift hill!!!Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  11. It wasn't too bad a few years ago when Herschend had RMC retrack some of it..but now it's running terribly again. It has had a few good moments but it just can't seem to stay in good running condition. I also am in the minority that likes Mean Streak, I just used that as a reference because so many people complain of how rough it is Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  12. It's somewhere in the area circled in red. Blue is the reservoir, yellow is the building, green is the turntable..i just circled those as a reference for where it is. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  13. Yes that I know, I only follow this because they post some interesting updates but it looks like some bulldozing is beginning..Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  14. Hmmm Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  15. Rough is an understatement. Last time I rode it I heard someone say "my shoulder popped out" as they got off of it. It makes Mean Streak feel like Diamondback.Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk Never compare Mean Streak to Diamonback. The only way I could ever compare them is to describe how bad Predator is. 17. Have you ridden Predator by any chance?
  18. Capacity shouldn't be too big of a problem assuming they run three trains. They generally seat 24 passengers, and GCIs auto restraints speed up loading and unloading a little bit. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  19. I wouldn't complain. Provided it had the best restraints..Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  20. There's 5 gigas in the world, and one is in Japan. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  21. They and did?I'm assuming he's referring to the park making the ride far less enjoyable by adding the individual ratcheting lap bars. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  22. I've always wondered what Blue Streak would be like with Century Flyers. That would be incredible... Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  23. GCIs are generally fantastic. Thunderhead isn't running at its best this year, it could use some track work. Kentucky Rumbler is one of my favorites. Similar to Thunderhead in that it just never lets up, but has much better airtime. They're popular even among the GP because they're (generally) smooth for woodies, and they aren't overly aggressive. They're generally only about 100' tall so they tend to hold up pretty well and not have as many structural problems as the old RCCA and Dinn "masterpieces" Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  24. I don't really expect an RMC as Cedar Fair hasn't shown any interest in working with them, but the way RMC has been taking off lately, you never know when they will, and they have to start somewhere right? But if they were to go with a woodie, GCI seems to be the most logical choice. But oh how I'd love to see a Gravity Group woodie... Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  25. If we get an RMC i'm just hoping we get one that lasts longer than 45 seconds
