Great video. Thanks for sharing! The park has come a long way for only being open 45 years. There's alot of history crammed into that short time span.
  2. I'd like to go to HWN sometime, but it won't be this year. I'll be at Coastermania. Last year's event was great. But 2015's CM was kind of meh. The check-in was a disaster and I wasted half the morning ERT in the check-in line and lines were 30 minutes long during the ERT. Plus, there were people who acted like jerks. But, 2016 they capped the attendance and charged $30, which solved most, if not all problems. But the cruise around the lake was the highlight for me. That alone justified the cost. And tickets last year didn't sell out too fast, it took about a month, IIRC.
  3. At CP's event, they say that there may be mud. Although, last year we were on the pavement and got fairly close to Valravn's construction site.
  4. I think Kings Island should have an off-season tour like Cedar Point's Winter Chill Out. I'm actually surprised this hasn't spread over to other parks in the chain. It's a highly successful event at Cedar Point. It sold out in less than a week this year. And best of all, the proceeds go to a good cause. At CP's event you get to go on behind the scenes tours, take a look at the shops and see the work going on and a presentation from park staff with some surprise announcements. Would you attend such an event if it were offered at Kings Island? Even though I'm 4 hours away, I certainly would even though I would likely have to get a hotel in the area depending on what time of the day it was. That being said, I hope to be able to check out Winterfest next year.
  5. If they handle it like CP did with Coastermania last year, it shouldn't be a problem. That was a very smooth check in. Their 2015 check-in for Coastermania was a disaster. I hope they take a hint from CP on how to do an event check-in.
  6. I really like the ice cream at KI. It's just about as good as a place in Akron called Strickland's and that's tough to even come close to when being as good, so KI did something right.
  7. I just like the coasters and overall atmosphere of the park. The landscaping team does a great job at keeping the park nice and I really like the theming and decorations around the park. The statues going up the lift at the end of AE adds a nice touch to the ride.
  8. Looks to be coming along well! Only other coaster I'm looking forward to is the RMC Mean Streak, but that's not till 2018. I look forward to riding MT at Coasterstock this year!
  9. ^That sounds like a great menu! Compared to Coastermania, they announce the menu when the tickets go on sale.
  10. I would like to see a Giga Coaster come to KI. MF used to be my favorite, but after going to Carowinds, Fury 325 became my favorite. If they could get a B&M Giga like that at KI which would be alot closer to home, that would be awesome. Although, CF may not see the need for one as they have one at CP which is only about 3 hours north. But then again, they also have an invert and a hyper coaster there.
  11. I just signed up last weekend. I look forward to this event. This looks like alot of fun. I've been going to Coastermania since 2015, and I look forward to my first Coasterstock. This is a 2 day event so it should be awesome. And the price of the event was a steal!
