lol thats all the fun tv's where have you been?

I mean yeah I know. But at least most of them are already in unthemed queue lines. Boo Blasters has a semi themed queue, meanwhile an ad for Buzz Ballz is blasting in the background.

  2. The theming is why many of us prefer this park over others. I really hope they get some of the stuff back up and running, like the music and lights for mystic. Tbh I don’t really care for the FunTVs so they can go. Seems like it would be a decent cost savings vs some lights and a speaker.

Man, Diamondback is gonna look TERRIBLE with everything else getting painted, including those Rivertown buildings right next to it...

You could probably argue that it is themeing lol but it does like quite awful. I have been saying how bad it needs a repaint for years.

This is just my opinion (and in no way directed at you), but I feel like the only people who would be unrealistically upset would be the mega-entitled coaster fanboy/girl community. The marketing and hype can be as much or as little as the park’s marketing department wants there to be.

The hype for the original Tomb Raider was insane. I was like, 9 and I remember it to this day. The mystery of the ride was pushed and the overall experience (at the time) was satisfying and exciting. And that wasn’t a coaster.  It was still hyped as something of a similar caliber.

I don't inherently disagree with you. The hype for a non-coaster can be insane if executed perfectly. It's just a lot harder to do.

^^ I too agree with this statement. It would be really nice to see KI take a break from a large coaster, yet still give the ride the hype and publicity of a new large coaster. Maybe remove Congo Falls in the coming seasons. However it would be sad to see it go since it has been here for so long.

Problem is, a ride that isn't a coaster just cannot generate the hype and publicity that is so easy with one. I cannot think of a recent ride that has had anywhere near as much hype as a "simple" coaster like even ice breaker.

I made a blitz concept this time it is in Action Zone and replaces Invertigo and Congo and goes across the entrance pathway similar to Fury. The elements that cross over the pathway are a zero g stall and an outerbank/stengal dive similar to the last element on Pantheon just bigger. The name is Guardian.

I think a white coaster with a lighting package would look great near the front. We have enough blue for now haha

I don't think we'll see a new major attraction teaser until at least 2024 or 2025, we've been spoiled the past 6 years (2014, 2017, 2020), despite the net going down one (from 12 major coasters to 11) (-Vortex, -Firehawk, +Orion).

I don't really get this attitude. No offense to you of course, but we haven't been spoiled. They saw an investment opportunity in the park and decided to pursue it. Hell, getting a coaster every single year isn't being spoiled if the feel the investment is worth it. They wouldn't have added those coasters if they didn't think they would make money off of them. If they added coasters thinking they wouldn't make money off of them, then you could argue that is being spoiled.

The past additions should not dictate future additions. Only what it is that you currently have and the possibility of making more $$$.

  8. To me it definitely doesn’t sound haunt related. it wouldn’t focus on the hope part of it was.

this is most likely a flat ride expansion for the area. It isn’t as big so it can wait to be announced and with Covid it likely just got finalized and approved 100%.

There are also apparently many people who think Phoenix is the best wooden rollercoaster and that Candymonium is a top five steel rollercoaster. Opinions like this are very subjective. I think the general consensus is, though, that Orion is still a very good ride and at least better than Candymonium.

Also, Texas Stingray I feel like is barely talked about. More people talk about Mystic Timbers which is now four years old.

Probably because Texas Stingray is just not as good. It's got a less airtime, more old style GCI layouts and that goes away from exactly what Mystic is praised for: pacing, airtime, and rapid transitions.

Just more proof that the Awards are a sham.

^^While it would be nice, I have a feeling if they go with Mack, they'll go with the standard multi launch like Copperhead Strike. I've heard (take it with a grain of salt) that those Mack spinning trains are some of the most expensive trains if not the most expensive trains to design and make. Idk if KI or CF would want to spend the extra money on that or not, but I could be wrong.

I don't think the price would be that big of a deterrent especially if they are going to wait longer in-between coasters like Cedar Fair says they are. It would be a fantastic coaster for the lineup too as it fills 3 gaps. Launch, lopper, spinner.

I just wish they would plant trees to replace ones they remove for construction though in areas they can go back into. Think they did a good job with removal for Mystic Timbers, but look at Diamondback. It was completely cleared and it has been left flat and empty since. It opened 12 years ago now. That area could have been pretty well reforested by now aside for space for tracks and and necessary roads for it. Think it would look a lot nicer and be more fun to dip in and out of the trees, plus make it feel faster with you zipping past trees closer by.

I agree with this 100%. Always thought it was weird that there was a bunch of wide open space around Diamondback that is just grass. Looks like Orion is going to be the same way too.

It's probably so that if they ever need to get back there and do any work, they can. Just sucks because it could be so much cooler.

I wonder how difficult it would be to put a small enclosed flat ride with a glass ceiling inside of the FoF building so guests could look up into the spaghetti bowl in the darkness. It's a strange idea, but I think it would be very interesting if there was adequate real estate. Something like a Rotor or Gravitron would make the most sense.

While interesting, without this being in the original plans, it is literally impossible now. There is just not enough room.

  13. I just think it would give the park some much needed intensity. CP has multiple intense rides. KD has TT and i305. Carowinds doesn't have anything crazy intense but I could see the argument for Fury (even if forces wise it isn't any more intense than Orion). I think our park could really use something intense.

That intensity gap is definitely a gap the park still has and I think it would really solidify our lineup.

Great, great, great news!! The plaza and Shed music are both back at Mystic Timbers! Unfortunately, still no music in Orion’s station and locker area.

Hopefully this means they will be working on Orion next. The music in the area is without a doubt the thing that ties everything together.

Orion has to be one of the safest rollercoasters at Kings Island, if not the world. It is a B&M, and from my understanding, B&M has had literally no safety incidents caused by their rides. I know most people on this forum know this, but unfortunately most members of the general public do not.

Valravn had the incident of it colliding in the station a while ago but I don't think there were any major injuries. Definitely a safety incident in my mind though.
