  1. Here's a nice little birthday poem for you Sparks... Happy birthday, Have a happy birthday, Trouble, sorrow in the air, People dying everywhere, On your birthday, Have a happy birthday!
  2. Wow, I've been away from the forums for so long due to work and school that I've missed alot of forum stuff! It took me a good 20 minutes to get back on track!
  3. I have been on it and think it is worth the cash. The scariest part for me is actually when thhey strap you into the cord that you swing on, and the floor begins to fall away. Your body begins to flip face first towards the ground. They tell you not to hold onto the wall as you do this, but instinct tells you to grab onto anything you can. The ride raises up and you keep thinking, "We gotta be near the top now..." as you just keep getting higher and higher. Finally, you stop. "3, 2, 1, FLY!" You pull the cord, then go racing down to the ground. The first drop is a rush, but I found the rest of it very calming.
  4. Moved "Whats your favorite coaster" topic to Polls section
  5. The photo booth for TRTR closed after its opening season, most likely due to not making enough money. Didn't photo booth return to FoF the season after TRTR's photo pooth closed?
  6. My first ride was Beast. I've been on it 27 times since then this season!
  7. Just as BeastDude said, we have Trip Reports for these kinds of questions.
  8. Closed "Park Police Guys" for reasons stated in final post
  9. 1. Question has been answered 2. Topic just got really dumb with that last post
  10. Just a reminder guys, if you absolutely want to ride hands up, PLEASE ride with caution. Always be safe while riding, because we don't want to see people getting hurt on coasters because their hands were up.
  11. I was at Eiffel Tower when he came to Beast. I just missed him!
  12. It was pretty long, but I do not know the ride time.
  13. Closed "Bill Banning..." topic for repetition

Well, I had my first ever ride on DOT today, and boy am I glad they brought it back. I walked onto the ride (yes, a walk on) because most people being stupid as they are and not knowing DOT is a classic, went to side A. I love the old school preshow! It has nothing to do with DOT, but it's so funny. You can even see Colossus at SFMM in the preshow (It's not Racer, but Colossus)! Well, I go in, and buckle up, and I can tell people are psyched that it's back. A group of people in the second row all start clapping and try to get more to clap, so of course I join. The ride begins, and everyone starts going crazy. Now to my review of the ride itself. It has some cool parts to it. My fav is when you go in for a pit stop, and the car leans to the side as they change wheels. The picture does look grainy, so I don't think they got new film. If they did, then its just old technology. The ride is very good, not as good as 007, but close. My second favorite movie there. During the ride, I saw the same people as before throwing their legs up into the air as the chairs flung up, just as someone said people used to. I once again, join them and it is quite fun to do that. Well, the ride ends, and that same group once again starts clapping, and I start clapping, and we all head out glad to see this classic ride has returned to PKI. Very short TR, just one ride. IT'S OVER!
  16. *senses an ACEr bashing approaching* Most ACErs aren't that bad, but every now and then we get someone who thinks they own the place and act like a jerk. Of course we also have ACErs who think they own the place, but can say that cause they are there every day (and I mean EVERY DAY, those guys are cool). Those few ACErs give the rest a bad name IMO.
  17. While we have signs and warnings about keeping your hands up all over the place on Beast, people still do it. People just don't realize that the walls in the tunnels are very close to the train. What I do to prevent any injury from occuring is by putting my hands in what I call the "Superman Pose". I hold my hands out forward instead of up, and lock my hands together. That way, they won't go jerking off to the side where something could potentially happen. If you do still wish to ride hands up, I recommend this technique on Beast, and other rides with tunnels. Your hands are still not touching the bar in front, but they are still very close to the train, and since there is nothing in front of the train but air, there is no danger to hitting anything.
  18. They have a bus to the park for sure, and I think they might have discount tickets. Does anyone here know for sure if they have discount tickets?
  19. Edited post by Chaotichazard in "Holiday Inn" topic for grammar.
  20. Bond, James Bond. I hope they bring that back for B side next year, like they are bringing DoT back. I still remember the line: Bond: "Excuse me, but how tall are you?" Random Bad Guy: "6-2, why?" *RBG gets nailed by clearance sign* Ah, memories...
  21. I never said Dane was an ACEr, but he was in the group with snaping fun for all, which included several ACErs.
  22. This year: B I can't believe I said it, but this is the first year I am more excited about B side movie than A side!

Well, today was my first day off that I came in just for rides this season. I arrive at about 2:45 from school, and head over to AZ. Congo Falls had seemed to be closed all week, but it was open today. Let's just say I was ****ed off there. Not because of the ride, or employees, but guests. While I was waiting to get on, I saw tons of people sticking their arms out and touching the concrete along the track. Ride ops would constantly tell them to keep their arms inside, yet every boat I saw had people sticking their hands into the water. Well, I ride and my boat wasn't that bad (except for the people who splashed water up at people on the exit, therefore sticking their arms out), but the boat behind me was the worst. Our boat takes the turn, and the boat behind us drops. I look back, and as the boat starts to turn around back to the station, I see a kid standing up in the boat! Now I know there aren't lap bars, but that doesn't mean people can stand up! The ride op yells at the kid to sit down, and as she yells at the kid, another one stands up! *sigh* People just don't listen anymore... Well anyways, after that I head over to DZ and wait just one drop. As I'm getting checked, I see a co-worker of mine getting in line. I say hi, ride the ride, and wait for him at the exit. He rides, and then we chat a little, then he goes to work. After this, SoB. First car, second seat, best seat on the ride. I had some people behind me think they were all that, "Yeah, this other park has a ride that goes 125 mph! It has a 420 foot drop!" I couldn't help it... "But it only lasts 17 seconds!" I say back. Just about that time, we drop. I hear them complain about the ride the whole way through. As we stop, one guy says, "I got this ride figured out, you have to sit forward so your back doesn't touch the train!" So if they had the ride figured out, why were they sitting in the back seat of a car? Well, since AZ seemed to be teeming with idiots, and more were coming in, I headed to good ol' AE. 4 train wait for front seat, walk on the rest of the train. I love that ride, it's a classic! Well, since Racer was only running forwards, it had a line outside of the station, so I skipped and headed to Monster. Yet another ride I LOVE. I saw a guy I know from school working, and I decided it's time to show off. I get loaded, and the ride moves to the top to load more, and what do I do? SPIN! I just start spinning like a mad man, and making sure my friend saw it. People on the same arm as me just kept watching me. The ride moves the the third loading position, and I do my second trick, point my pod in the wrong direction. I yell down, "Hey, see something different about my pod?" He looks up, just shakes his head, and keeps on working. I decide to keep spinning again, and some people go, "He's still spinning!!!" The ride starts, and since I know the trick to spinning during the actual ride (sit as far left as possible), so by the end, I was quite dizzy. I say bye to my friend, and go play 2 games of DDR. I noticed I was starting to attract a crowd, so I play the song that makes me look like I'm actually dancing (Super Star challenge mode), and my show-off song (CSFIL Speed Mix Maniac). I get some spectators, and I'm on my way to FoF. FoF had the only real line of the day, about 10-15 minutes. I noticed that the mid-course breaks were slowing the train down a whole lot more than before. It used to be that you didn't notice it, now you do! After that, Vortex. Very amusing ORP, but I didn't buy it. No wait for second to last row, YEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! I then had a quick ride on SR&R, no biggy. Then, my new baby. 2 cycles on Eagles, first one had really awesome snaps, second time around didn't. I decide I needed a break to try and get it back later, so I head to Beast. Beast had 3 train wait for front seat, but I saw a fellow PKIU member with a one train wait, and since he was riding my himself, I joined him and only waited 1 train. Nice and fast today. As I come back into the station, I see more people on my crew, so I ride it again with them in the 5th car, back seat. A little rougher, but what do you expect from that seat? Since I am running out of time before I have to leave, I go on back down to Eagles for one last ride. As we (my crew mates and I) approach the ride, we see several ACE members who ride Eagles alot, Dane, and some guys who I met earlier in the day at Eagles who ride them alot also. We had a good 9 people who could all snap really well. Well... except me. I got the first snap of the ride, and then one more good one, then no more real good ones. I get pretty high, but something was throwing me off that I couldn't come down fast enough to make an audible snap. By that time, it was time for me to go. About 3 and a half hours, and I got on an extremely large number of rides. Rode so many rides, met up with so many people, and had such a great day!
