  1. When did this become Survivor: PKIU?
  2. Well, I was an open shift today, so I decided to check out the new water park with Dane. I went home quickly after the shift, changed into my swimsuit and changed shirts, and headed back. I meet up with him, and we walk through the path from the main park to water park. Part 1 of review: SIGNS! Many of the changes seemed to be new signs. The old signs for everything all seemed bland and boring. The new signs for all of the rides were colorful, and interesting. Each had a different design, instead of the cookie cutter design of older slides. Part 2: ENTRANCE! They really improved the entrance from the main park. The fountain has been changed to be (of course) more colorful. Not only that, but the stores are also very colorful. Guess what the tone of the entrance was! COLOR! If you like lots of color, you will be in paradise. And it wasn't overdone IMO. Part 3: CONCRETE! Yes, the park still is a concrete paradise. Those sand path rumors were false, because not once did I see a sand path. In fact, I didn't see any sand at all in the park. And now, to the rides. Our first target, the dominating Tazmanian Typhoon. All I can say it, wow... it's big. I mean, REALLY big. This thing is HUGE! Besides the size of the funnel, the ride is also big on fun. The ride starts off by getting you wet from a waterfall over the entrance to the tunnel. the tunnel was very cool, because mainly you didn't know when the funnel was until the final drop is in front of (or in Dane's case) behind you. Going up the wall of the funnel isn't anything spectacular, but it gets you spinning, and with the spinning, and the swinging, it's kinda like Delirium with water and lots of colors. As the raft came into the splash-down pool, I summed up the ride very fittingly, "I'm cold, I'm disoriented, and I loved it!" Taz get's a 9 out of 10! We see that the old Wipeout Beach (now Pipeline Paradise) has a short line, so we decide why not. Nothing changed about this ride. The benches are still there, just different ones. Of course, I still suck at that... Next up: The Coolangatta Racers! The floor on the step up can be dangerous! While it is much more comfortable than the old circles, they got very slick with all of the water falling down from the second slide (yes, it seems to be leaking already). One lady supposedly slipped on the steps as we walked up. The ride itself still has it's kinks. As Dane put it, "You hump your way down". Thats because the ride hasn't been broken it yet, so the pad you go down on keeps bouncing up and down as you go down the slide. Also, the pads like to stick at the start of the slide, causing someone to take an early lead and not get it back *coughDANEcough*. The squeaking noise of the pads rubbing against the padding at the start could get very annoying. I give this a 6 outta 10, ride if you feel like it. One funny thing, hold on to your pad! We saw one flew down on top of a roof of a building below. Well, I did not get to ride everything, but I saw other things. The Kookaburra bay is very, VERY small. Nothing compared to the size in the original pictures. The new kiddy area is much bigger than I expected. Overall, I liked the park. It isn't everything we expected, but it is a good chunk of it. I give the new water park a first glance score of 7.5 out of 10. Well, the main park after this was BUSY. Line for Beast when we checked it out with just 30 minutes till 10 was an hour and 15 minutes long! It was like that all day. I did get 3 rides on Eagles, and 1 on Zephyr (with my shoes off!). I wish I had a camera to show all the color!
  3. If I had known today was your birthday, I would've told you happy birthday at the park today! HAPPY B-DAY!!!
  4. Edited post by Koko in Antique Cars thread.
  5. Yeah, this should be just for Intamin T-style restraints. Since PKI's only Intamin is DZ, and it doesn't have T-bar rrestraints, we shouldn't have any issues.
  6. Deleted post by Koko in Paramount's Carowinds topic.
  7. Edited Paramount's Carowinds topic by fyrfyter for several typos.
  8. As a moderator I would like to ask just one question about that last post... WTF? Explain yourself, or prepare to have that post and this one BALEETED!

What ride is that? It's obviously not SoB because the lift hill runs parallel with the station, unlike SoB where the lift runs right in front of the station.
  10. Drop Zone does has not had a new paint job since it opened. Does it need one? In the next couple years, I think so. Right now, not quite.
  11. Jeez, I didn't think my closing my own topic merited posting here, lol. Oh well, so far nothing really serious. I'm seeing one of our other mods get some challenges, but so far nothing has been thrown my way. *waiting for first "challenge"*
  12. Haha. If anyone cares, try www.pki.com I think they have the height restrictions to every ride. I would do it, but I just don't feel like it, lol.
  13. *coughBAFFDcough* Yeah, most days are happy. Some are another word that starts with h.
  14. Last year was my first FF, and I thought 666 was the best one. MoM I thought wasn't scary, until one little scary part at the end. The rest was rather cheesy and lame IMO.
  15. I'm taking my first action as mod to close one of my own topics. Since I am not doing the game, why keep this topic open?
  16. The people locater would be a great idea. When I was young and very new to PKI, I got lost there with my even younger cousin. We walked out of that slime maze thing, and couldn't find the adults in our group. We waited at Tower, and they eventually showed up. Turns out, there was more than 1 exit, and they were waiting at a different one. If they had these things, then we prolly wouldn't have had to wait at Tower for very long.
  17. Haha, I have a 3 hour late start today for school (don't ask why, it's a dumb reason we even have school today), and I woke up to this. I should be doing homework for today (because I pushed it back because I had the extra 3 hours), but I have the importaint classes done, so why not check the forums! Thanks to all the admins for promoting me for 2 weeks, and thanks to all the n00bs for making new mods needed!
  18. Yeah! I have heard that those kinds of rides are smooth as glass! Better than B&M!
  19. For those PKICers that do not know me, I am the StXBomber he was talking about. I normally post over at "that other PKI site", but I sometimes come over here to see what's going on with the forums. Dane, why didn't you mention getting to ride Beast twice, and getting that awesome pic of me!!! lol
  20. As of now, I only have 3 applications. I'm gonna scrap this idea due to lack of support. (what happened to the other people who voted that they would play?)
  21. If you can get to the bus ASAP, sure! lol
  22. It's about these kids and riding The Beast and find out it's haunted. That's basically all. Of course, I haven't read it myself, just what I heard. And from what I've heard, it's not worth reading.
  23. We will be at the park approx 8 -10 times this summer. You will (for the most part) be given 2 days notice until the challenge will occur. The challenges will take place at these events at PKI. Some major plot twists may also occur at these events.
  24. Ban elsewhere? NO! As long as you can't see privates, it should be fine. Should PKI be strict? Yeah. I mean, we do require belts. The prevent the baggy pants from falling down. Just be strict about the belts, and we will be good to go.
  25. SITE NOT FOUND!!!11!11!!1!!!!!!!1!1 If you're gonna make a whole new topic about a link, try to make it actually work!
