I SO agree. I don't recall James Bond, unless that was Days of Thunder. Spongebob is cute, but i've seen it so much i nearly have the whole thing memorized. Spongebob 3D was popular when it first opened, so DoT lost all the popularity. Now that the movie came out, people are pretty bored with it. I say bring back Days of Thunder or put something else really cool in there. uh... technically, Paramount Pictures owns Nickelodeon which owns SpongeBob

SFMM is a horribly bad example. Take a trip to SFoT or Fiesta Texas. Both absolutely gorgeous parks with great theming. My take on things? PKI may have recently started to put more detail in theming the RIDES, but what about the areas that the rides are located in? Have any of you looked around at our themed areas? Guess I should say a lack thereof. I'm sorry, but PKI has some of the worse looking areas in most of the parks I've been to. That was never the case. Lets look at Action Zone. A ton of billboards with movie advertisements and a lot of concrete....oh yeah and those lovely new cars that now sit in front of Congo Falls. Whoah. Thats phenominal theming. Likewise, the same can be said for Rivertown....and the oh so ran down Coney Mall and the ever disappearing Oktoberfest. I wish for just one season, they would take a break from the darn rides and PLEASE bring some life back into the Park. Spruce up the areas that need it (i.e the ****ty looking cracked asphalt in Coney). PKI used to be one of the most beautiful parks in the country. In some ways, it still holds some of that charm, but in a lot of others its fallen. - Todd I agree 100%. I mean, what's left of "oktoberfest"? all that's there is what? some lockers, the viking ship, and an entrance to FestHaus. that's it. I do agree with the in general themeing. it's not really the rides that need work, it's the qeue (sp?) lines, and the surrounding areas. and then there's that little park that no one knows about.... I say take what's in the park, add it around PKI, and get rid of the park and put in a new ride. Honestly no one ever goes to that little park... lol. but I do agree that the themeing is pathetic... and i've never been to another amusement park in a long time (last one i went to was Kentucky Kingdom BEFORE SF bought it and i was too little to remember it) also, let's not forget the crappy decision to REMOVE The Beast prints. That was like the "stamp" of the park... what made it unique. People followed the prints, wondering where they went, and discovered The Beast. I always get asked how to get to The Beast. and how to get to the waterpark. They need to have boomerangs that lead to the train station and the walkway to get to the waterpark. They need to re-add The Beast prints. They need to do a LOT of work with the overall themeing of the park.

and what about the towel? and the shoes most ppl wear at the water park to avoid hurting their feet? not everyone wants to walk around in a wet bathing suit the rest of the day, esp not under their regular clothes. then you have wet clothes the rest of the day. and no one wants to carry around a sopping wet towel the rest of the day. I know i dont. (no offense )

i brought my back pack because it's called "i-have-to-work-in-the-afternoon-at-pki-and-i-dont-have-the-time-nor-energy-to-walk -back-to-my-employee-locker-and-get-my-junk-and-then-change-and-then-put-up-my -stuff-and-then-walk-all-the-way-back-to-my-stand" plus not everyone wants to spend 5 dollars on a locker at the front of the park and then another 5 dollars per person on a locker at the waterpark. it's much more convenient to take it with you.

Well, I knew that we cant take the bags if they have money in it, but another thing was just brought to my attention today. Appearntly, due to some bags being stolen, a lot of rides are now telling guests to hold on to them. So, it may be a new rule for now on. well i would but like i said... think about drop zone and face/off. you can't take stuff on those rides. Vortex alone is hard enough to take a bookbag on. next time I will just ask my supervisor to leave it in the locker til the end of the day and come back and get it.

do you delight in insulting others? GROW UP. stop comin on the boards and -ing about everything you hate. it is NOT the only mini cooper ride. Canada's Wonderpark has IJ:ST too. What's saying ours isn't better than theirs? we get the point you don't like IJ:ST. we don't freakin care. just shut up, stop -ing at people who happen to like the ride, stop posting a few hundred times around here about how much you hate IJ:ST and how much you think it sucks, and how it ranks down there with AE. for your info, buddy, If the only two rides open in the park were IJ:ST and AE, i GUARANTEE you a good 80% or more of people would choose IJ:ST why? cuz AE just goes in circles. there's not much fun in that. IJ:ST you have gunfire and explosions. hell yeah baby that's my kind of ride. so like i said, shut your yap and stop insulting others because YOU are the only idiot around. you sound like a freakin broken record and it makes me want to strangle you. literally.

you know, IJ is actually very popular because of the special effects. It's NOT crappy. if it was crappy it wouldn't be one-of-a-kind. IJ is not another "crappy family ride" YES it's a family ride, but no, it's not crappy. I agree they should have done a lot more with it considering the amount of space they had, but it's not crappy. it's just short. short, but fun. stop whining about what you hate at PKI and voicing your hateful opinion. PKI is not going to listen to the few who think it sucks when majority people like it. And the sad thing is, you are probably one of the ones who had to go on it in order to decide it sucks. If you don't like PKI, simple... don't come back. no one likes people who just go to amusement parks to whine about how much they hate it. I happen to love PKI and am proud to work there.

ok go look at all the other paramount parks. seriously, they're ALL better than PKI. we need somethin bad. they have the room, seriously. they need to get rid of that stupid "launch pad" by The Vortex, and there is space back between Vortex and action FX they could make use of. IMO the one ride they need to get rid of is Adventure Express. Sorry kiddies, but i've never seen this ride popular. i still ride it out of pure boredom only. I agree PKI needs something, but I don't think a supersonic hyper coaster is the thing b/c a lot of ppl, myself included, cannot ride that kind of ride. I have asthma, and a fear of falling (like, Son of Beast is enough to scare me) so i wouldn't be able to go on it. I think they need a ride like anaconda at PKD, or just something wild, but something that asthmatic ppl can still go on and not have respitory failure (and yes TRTR does give me fits, but i still enjoy it lol.) they should do another stand up ride, because they removed King Cobra before I was tall enough to go on it. PKI needs to do to the main park what they did to the kiddie area. kiddie area isn't that big... but they put in a lot of attrations in a little space. the other half of action FX theater isn't used, they could do construction on that lol but I do agree we need something new. IJ just didn't cut it. fun, but too short and not exciting enough.

That's the second time I've seen that statement in this thread. What metric of "fastest growing" are you referring? Number of parks/attractions, attendance, revenue? my guess would be attendance. we all know Cedar Point is fastest growing in rides/attractions
-
uh... hello... why do you think they're in the process of repainting it? next time you're on the ride look at the support posts out near SOB and you'll notice they're a nice new deep steel blue. I agree that it needs to be re-done big time but the ride overall is fine. The paint job does not make or break a theme. it's the initial ride design that does.

last time i rode it the geysers weren't working properly, and the timing of the one set off by the employee was off. lol. I know you're not in charge of making them work properly, that's a maintenance thing, but you could perhaps inform them? if it's hot enough i'll ride it friday when i go up there to play assuming my ankle is ok then. (hurt it last year, and work kinda messed it up)
-
because some people don't value their valuables. i mean seriously, what is more important to you, guys? breaking the rules and taking pictures on the rides, or your life? FORGET THE STUPID PICTURES AND VIDEOS. I mean, they say no cameras for a reason b/c they don't want you suing them if you drop it and it busts in a million pieces. plus if you're busy trying to tape it you're not holding on to the handles like you should. as for the fanny pack, on Vortex you cam move it up so it sits in the gap. they made me take my bookbag on the ride. i didn't have anything in it that was valuable, i left that stuff in my locker (except for my cell phone which was tied to my pants) and they made me take it on. now THAT IMO can be dangerous b/c if you go upside down it could hit you in the head or it could fall out. it's hard to restrain bags like that. i usually loop it on my legs but even then it is hard to hold on to. and as for the whole annoying employee bit, a side note... I like my co-workers but they're 16 and 17 year olds and myself being 20, i'm more mature than them. we get to play music, but we're supposed to keep it down so it doesn't interfere with taking orders. well yesterday i had to compete over blaring loud music and 2 giggling screeching female co-workers (16 and 17). I almost told them to shut up. Next time I will. I'd rather have the customer hear me say HEY! SHUT UP FOR A FEW MINUTES SO I CAN TAKE THIS ORDER! than hear me say "what? can you repeat that? still didn't get it" lol. I'm a LOUD person when I yell, and i can easily yell over loud music and screaming girls. I didn't b/c i didn't think my customer wanted to get their ears blasted. lol
-
LOL thanks.

sure i'll be there. My brother, Mike (cincy oldies fan, oldiesmann) (forget what his name is on here) has to work then so i'll probably head up there with him and chill.

LoL there ya go buddy. there's the answer to whom you should bill... stick it in an envelope, stamp it, and waste money to send it to yourself
-
yeah. seriously. stop your whining and get over it. YOU saw the coaster YOU read the stats YOU got in line YOU decided to get on the ride "to whom may i send the doctor bill" KEEP IT FOR YOURSELF BUCKO. YOU make the choice, YOU hurt, YOU pay the bill. No one forced you to get on that coaster. You decided yourself. and if someone talked you into it, kick their and bill them but don't get on here and whine about it. i too am fed up with people complaining about what they DON'T like about PKI, and yet, for some reason, they keep comin back... I guess they didn't find enough to complain about the first time. keep up with the times buddy cuz the times ain't gonna wait for you. Either keep up with the happenin's at PKI or else find a new hobby besides complaining about something that is old news.

mmm mmm The Beast is SO not rougher than the son. shame on them
-
Inversions: 0 YEAH!!! THEY CAN'T TOP THAT!!! ha ha ha.
-
I agree. Son of Beast is one of those rides you have to save til the end of the day and have time the next day to just lay flat. it gave me severe pain... head ache, neck ache, back ache, etc. Beast is just plain fun. it's a tad rough, but not bad... it's mainly just one very fast coaster. SOB however, is LITERALLY, a pain in the neck

hey now! if you hate us so much don't come back! seriously. it's rude people like YOU that make OUR job seem crappy. it's rude people like YOU that make us NOT want to serve you. it's rude people like YOU that put us in a bad mood. it's rude people like YOU who make us think "please don't come back." Your post was just straight up biased, and VERY judgemental. You can't judge all PKI employees based on the behaviour of a select few. If you come there in a ****ed off mood, and treat us like crap, guess what, you will not get very good behaviour in return. Perhaps the dude at the ET was not friendly because he had been there ALL FREAKIN DAY and was tired. I don't always have the guts to smile at my customers, yet they're still nice to me. We have our issues too so don't go pickin on us just because we forgot to smile at you and say hi. There are thousands of guests every day and we don't always have it in us to say hi to every freakin person we meet. PKI is a tough job, even if you are just a greeter. Standing there in the hot sun, on your feet ALL DAY can be exhausting, and you can't get all ****ed at someone because they didn't say hi. what's stopping YOU? hm? what is stopping YOU from saying hi to US? Why does it always have to be us saying hi to you, and most times "you" don't reply. you just look at me like will you shut up so i can order? and THAT gets old. If you don't like our manners, and don't like our behaviour, we wear name tags for a reason. Ask to speak with the supervisor or take it up with guest relations, but don't get online and post a very negative biased post about how lousy we are. and honestly, it's not YOUR money that pays us. Your money goes to pay for stuff like IJ and repairs most likely. So like I said, you don't like us, fine. The feeling is mutual. I don't like rude guests that have a crappy attitude and show us no sympathy at all. YES I agree that personal chit chat should be saved for times when there are no guests, but you can't make a biased statement like all of us are that way. Like I said if you don't like the behaviour of a PKI employee, you could change it several ways. 1. showing US more respect and being nice to us. Trust me, it does a world of good. 2. Ask to speak with the employee's supervisor if they're around (i.e. on a ride or a food station) 3. take it up with Guest Relations. They handle customer complaints, and they will contact said employee and talk to them about their behaviour. 4. If you flat out hate us, then do us a favor and please don't come back. sincerely, one ****ed off employee

it sucked last year. fireworks are already "3D" lol. Last year seriously, it sucked. you couldn't hear the music, and the Eiffel Tower blocked the view of most the fireworks. you had to look almost straight up to see it, but anywhere else in the park probably had a good view. I hope it's better this year, or people will stop coming to see it.

the online map sucks!!!! seriously!!!! they don't even list most food locations. they only list the big ones where you can go in and sit and eat, which seriously, is like, what? 4 or 5? (i'm thinkin festhaus, the place on IS, Bubba Gump's, and Wings) so yeah. the online map sucks and if i were an impending guest I wouldn't be impressed at all with the online map. they should list the real map online.

The Beast is perfect for a wild ride, not TOO rough but not boring either. Son of Beast is TOO rough. WAY too rough for my taste. Beast is just awesome though. and it ends when you can't take anymore... Son of Beast keeps right on truckin when you cant take anymore (which is about halfway through for me)

I was in line for Sky Tours yesterday and this older man got out of line, his wife held his place, he came back with like, 6 or 7 ppl.... his daughter, another gentleman, and several little kids... and they all just cut in line!!! I was so ticked. then yesterday we were in line for beast and some moron just shoved past people. He didn't even say excuse me. The rude ******* just shoved everyone out of his way to go catch up with his buddies and his girlfriend, and then stood there smooching her and hanging all over each other. *gags*

considering I work there, i'll be there just about every day but i've gone up there to "play" a few times now.
