  1. Sorry I haven't been on in awhile, but my friends and I have decided to go on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and half a day Saturday. So, will visiting those days help to avoid the crowds? That is what happened to me, when I visited Paramount's Carowinds. I hope PKI is better than Paramount's Carowinds at not having as long of lines on Saturdays. Thanks for the tips!
  2. Sorry about that. I have inserted the link in the above post.
  3. I wasn't trying to ruin the surprise. The surprise has already been released on Screamscape.com. The local news papers in Pigeon Forge have a rendering of the coaster, and they have a picture of the main engineer behind the project, holding up a picture of the layout of the ride. Screamscape has gathered that it is a coaster. I am sorry if I did ruin the surprise for everyone. Here is the concept art I think you were talking about flightoffear1996. This is the concept art I was talking about as well. http://www.screamscape.com/html/dollywood_...tery_mine_0.htm
  4. It is a Eurofighter. It will stand 121 feet high and will simulate going over a broken trestle into an abandoned mine shaft filled with tons of special effects and animatronics. The ride will feature a 121 foot high vertical drop, and will have inversions.
  5. The Mystery Mine is looking like it will be an awesome attraction. It is supposed to be the most heavily themed attraction, and the largest attraction ever to be at Dollywood. I went to Dollywood yesterday, and saw some site clearing in the area where the Mystery Mine is to be located. We will just have to wait for the official announcement on July 7th, to know what the attraction will feature!
  6. Oh ok, I was just wondering. Thanks everyone for the help!!
  7. Was Delirium broken until 12 or 1, or were there storms the night before, and caused a late opening?
  8. Has anyone been this year and ridden it this year? I hope it doesn't break down while I am there. Huss manufactured the Timber Tower at Dollywood, here in Tennessee, and it breaks down a whole lot! I have ridden it only 3 times, so I guess Huss' rides are breaking down more. But, hopefully I will get to ride it one of the 3-4 days I spend at PKI and Boomerang Bay.
  9. That's good news that when Delirium goes down, that it won't be down for too long. Thanks!! Does Tomb Raider go down more than Delirium?
  10. Son of Beast Delirium Drop Zone The Beast Flight of Fear Face/Off Italian Job Stunt Track Tomb Raider The Ride Wild Thornberry's River Adventure Congo Falls The Racer Adventure Express Top Gun Monster Vortex The Scrambler What do you think is the best ride at PKI? I haven't been to PKI before, but I am going this summer. I have seen videos and pictures of the rides, and I think SOB, Delirium, Flight of Fear, and The Beast look like the best rides at PKI. So, what do you think?
  11. That sounds like a good place to start, I really want to ride Tomb Raider and Beast also. How long of a line does Drop Zone, Face/Off, and Son of Beast usually have later on in the day? Would Flight of Fear be a walk-on ride, first thing in the morning?
  12. Thanks guys for the tips. I'm sure they will help make my first visit to PKI much more enjoyable! If anyone else as any tips please share them!!
  13. That is such good news!! I have heard it is an awesome ride. I have seen some videos of it and it looks really fun! I heard somewhere that they were waiting for a part to arrive from Huss in Germany. Are they still waiting on that part? I can't wait to ride Delirium!! Thanks for the info!
  14. Thank you soo much!! I am visiting on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have seen on one of the trip reports that Delirium was just broken, or the lines were too long. I am visiting for three days, so does that make my chances of riding Delirium higher? Thanks!
  15. I am new to the forums, but I have been studying every aspect of PKI for awhile, and had always wanted to go. Now this summer, I have the chance of going to PKI. The main rides I am really looking forward to besides Drop Zone and Flight of Fear are Son of Beast and Delirium. I heard somewhere that Delirium closes a lot. And so does Son of Beast. So how often does Delirium and Son of Beast close? Which one is more likely to close during June or July? Thank you so much if you can give me some answers!
