Maureen, Is it clear yet what caused the timber to break? was it stress from the weight and speed of the trains or was the wood there just weak?

On travel channel's websites the top ten waterparks are listed as: 5. Splish Splash, New York 4. Water Country USA, Virginia 3. Raging Waters, California 2. Disney's Blizzard Beach, Florida 1. Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Texas I can see it being listed as like, one of the top 5 waterparks in Ohio, maybe...but...idk

I always sit in the middle row of the second car...It's hurt me every time except for when I sit there....so I refuse to sit newhere else

^I wish wooden coasters would make a huge comeback or somethin' cool like that...Steel are nice but you lose that wild, out of control feeling and steel loses that classic feeling that I like on a wooden coaster where you just feel like you're in a whole different world. The chances of Cedar Fair building a new woodie are really slim...that just really sux...especially if we lose sonny

^Makes you wonder what could have caused the broken timber doesn't it? If it was just from wear and tear from the stress on the wood then that could have just as easily been me shipped off to the hospital...I rode just the day before...man putting yourself in those people's shoes and imagining how much a trip to the hospital would ruin what was supposed to be a great day full of GOOD memories makes you feel a little guilty for thinking about how miserable you are when you have to wait in an hour hour and a half line for Face/Off...

Lol, Adam12, I'm only 5'7" and 140 lbs and I have trouble getting my legs to fit inthe dang cars, and the restraints are terribly huge...i spend the entire time going up the lift hill shifting in my seat trying to get in a position where i can sit up straight and not get bruises on my knees...

Flight, I really don't see Sonny open again this year...as it will probably take a long time to figure out what happened and an even longer time to corect it. If anything good at all comes out of this it is that there is a possibility (Oh, plz God!) that SoB will get some new trains, if the trains are part of what caused the problem.

actually..I've actually read a couple news reports that simply gave facts...without TOO much negative stuff...bu talso that report that said the train was "suspended on the lift hill" was RIDICULOUS...it clearly showed a pic of the train sitting firmly on the lift...not hanging off the freekin edge...-.-

Well, I feel sorry for everybody involved but man, this sucks for Sonny, I mean the poor guy had a bad enough rep already. I know that they shut it down yesterday for a few minutes because of something, I was next in line and we had to wait a few minutes to get on while they checked something out, but they gave it the ok just a few minutes later...I wonder if what heppened today was related to that...of course I have no idea because ride ops aren't allowed to tell anybody what went wrong...but you never know...
