Track length is goign to be roughly 3000 feet.

From what it seems Sleepy Hollow Horror may be next to the Eiffel Tower. I see a big white circus looking tent there. If that's the attraction I'm goign to be a little upset, because it looks small, and aqward. We'll see soon though.

It doesn't seem like it will, but it does go under it's own station once. CONSTRUCTION UPDATE First of all almost all of the track is ripped up, and alot of the concrete as well, the bridges are gone and some of the trees as well. I've heard the stations will be gone Monday and the land will be flattened basically by next Saturday.

As a PKI worker, I have been in the drum, and even had to walk up to the break run (twice) it's pretty fun, but looking down about 90 feet on a swaying tower isn't exactly the funnest thing.

I've never done the Psycho Path, as it is always too long, however I believe that the Maze of Madness is great. Last year was it's worse year, but I really love how the strobes and the heartbeats are audible. Also last year the Curse of the Crypt was awesome as was the House of Darkness. Circus of Horrors isn't too bad, mainly because it's 3D. Hopefully seeing Dracula roughly 35 times a day won't wear out it's novelty.

First of all the day was Black Sunday. I believe y ou could search for it but I'll just say what I remember. 1)Drunk woman slid out of Flight Commander, she unbuckled her seatbelt. 2)A drunk guy fell in a lake and a security officer jumped in after her. The security officer did die but the guy that fell in lived accordign to what I remember. This was why PKI did not sell alcohol for a few years. Also I believe they are getting rid of the Sprite game, the Roadside Cafe, and the Icee shack. They will move Scooters across the midway (maybe) and install IJ:ST. I'm guessing AT will take over Scooters. It is already a long walk from Beast. If they aren't opening the second side of Action Theatre for the whole season next year than it will almost definitely be Action Theatre Scooters. This is up to the rides department, we'll see next year.

WWC was open yesterday, and is scheduled to open today.
-
I saw one of those big lights (work lights) over in the field next to the international showplace. This is really the only place I can see it going, unless they put it back around WWC.

I really doubt it. Most people are not going to Kings Island for the Flying Eagles, no matter if they are the only one that allows snapping. Only about 1/10 of the people snap I"m guessing. Because I usually see one person snapping. And before anyone jumps on me I've seen more than one, but that seems about the average.

They have drained the lake, and begin pulling up one peice of track, I'm sure by Saturday there will be alot more left.
-
I was walking past the Eurobungee site on my way back from break and I noticed something sitting on the platform, it looks like some sort of power outlet... maybe that's a clue to something.
-
That's what I was thinking, seems like it would be ok, but they wouldn't be able to put any of those speakers in the bowl, they would be too close to the track, also I do like the T.V. Land Loungue, sounds neat, however there is a lot of dumb stuff, and keep in mind this is all Paramount Parks not just PKI.
-
It's a good idea in theory, however, the choices on there are quite poor. Most people aren't up for watching the Spice Girls. I do like that they put on the Italian Job teaser.

PKI Open an Extra Weekend
teenageninja replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Actually the previous crew was Tiques Dodgem Scrambler so they just kept it Dodgem Scrambler. If they close Scrambler for FearFest as usual, I believe it'll be Dodgem Zephyr. -
Because none of the rides are open. They are having it open for a bunch of 9/11 Tribute stuff. They are going to have some food places open, but mostly just International Street. No reason to charge for no rides.

Try Cedar Point.

PKI Open an Extra Weekend
teenageninja replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I'm putting the rasor blades to my wrist right now. That weekend is going to be hell and everyone knows it. -
We had enough trouble running the park on Saturdays this season, let alone a day where there are under 10,000 in the park ala TODAY.
-
Actually they have 3, the Cadillac Cars, The Antique Cars, and the Racing style cars.
-
I obviously wasn't talking about this season, but the past few season KI's attendance has been higher, read between the lines.
-
Also, Paramount's Kings Island is not even in the same league as Cedar Point. PKI is a family theme park. Cedar Point is a thrill park. Kings Island's attendance is higher, but Cedar Point's lines are longer. The reason for that being that more young adults/ parentless-adults go to Cedar Point. When I was there the line for Millenium Force was an hour, but the line for their kiddie coasters was a walk on. See the comparison?

You can tell who makes rides by the cars, tracks, and supports usually. White Water Canyon, Drop Zone, and Congo Falls are made by Intamin. Delirium is a Huss Giant Frisbee. Sure the Frisbee XL swings at a steeper angle, but not as high. Also Tomb Raider is a Giant Top Spin. I'm not sure if Arrow created Wild Thornberries, they may have.
-
Go to the park tomorrow and look. I'm sure there is some sort of construction, or atleast let's hope.
-
Remember that Runaway Reptar was made by Vekoma, not Arrow.
