Why not obese people, people who drive motor cycles, people who work in mines or in hard labor where their health will deteriorate in the end? Why not people who take the steps instead of the elevator? Why not people will a family history of illness? In the end, you can pin some sort of risky activity on anyone as an excuse to raise their premiums. The health insurance arguement is crap anyways, they hav e been trying to do that for years

Im not saying walk away in line, that would be pointless. You guys forget that is why the people in the blue and white shirts are at PKI are for? Go get one of them, if someone is smoking in line. Im saying this as an employee, come get one of us, we love dealing with smokers in line, or at least i do.

One, yes it kills your lungs and i know its not healthy, two, its not crack, you dont get scars on your face from it. With the last one.... smokers like me.... hmmm if every smoker was like me, we wouldnt be having this conversation now would we? I put my ciggarette out then put it in a trash can, i ask people if it bothers them if i smoke, whether it be at there home, car, or if Im AROUND THEM, and I have never EVER blown smoke in a kids face, so you can PI$$ OFF. I do accept your rights as a non-smoker, seeing as how I used to be one, im just saying you guys are barking up the wrong tree in my opinion.

That is what im trying to say. Do you guys realize that tobacco has been around for hundreds of years and was the way most people earn their living, most do, including my uncle who still farms it in KY. Im not saying government shouldnt make laws, im saying they shouldnt make rash ones, that can overall hurt the economy and major issues like that(like prohibition, i dont see them still trying to ban alcohol even though people get liver cancer from it, or drink themselves to death like my aunt did). There is also a reason they dont let people do illict drugs you moron, they are hallucinagens (sp?), depressants, stimulants, etc. They make you see stuff or make you motor skills go to crap, which smoking does none of these things. Yes i realize the cancer and health aspect of everything but its not pot or crack and they cant justify it, I think the whole thing is stupid. And for those who are sensitive or allergic, that is were mannors and such come in as I mentioned before, if you were to ask me to put out a ciggarrette I would. If you happen to encounter one of the few a$$holes that are that rude, you still have legs walk, away. The park also PAYS PEOPLE to clean up cig butts and other garbage, its called Ecology or more specifically pan and broomers, so there went that part of the arguement

Are you joking? Society includes smokers too man. Dont you see people make the choice, or choice not, to smoke. And smurf boy, i hate people like you when it comes to this subject, dont you see the other side of the story at all? You think just because you dont smoke you should be glorified in some way and not have to be around the "second hand smoke" bull crap. If someone smokes around you and you dont like it, either say something or go away.

I personally would pay it, but thats just me. As a worker i would rather see people be able to get in for free, the more crowded it is towards the end of the year the funner it is

The last 2 posts..... Are you guys kidding me? Its the crummy workers fault if they dont enforce the rules, in the crews in HB or fof, or whoever that if there is smoking in lines its there fault. Even though i smoke every time i saw a lit ciggarette even when not working, just as a guest i would tell them to put it out. If your not going to step up to someone who is breaking a rule why should a company have to make a stricter rule? Just so that you can avoid being the bad guy, whats up with that crap?

Then what would be a fair comparison. I mean honestly, I am starting to wonder about our government, or even policies of rules of certain companies, businesses, etc. when they make a decision to rule out a portion of there business. I mean i dont think its fair that im going to New York City this year on a 2 week trip, even though its with school if you are 18 you can smoke, except in Newyork there is a law that states you cant smoke. I dont think its right. You cant smoke in open air, in a hotel room you paid for, or your OWN CAR. It just makes no sense to me, it says you can get sick by doing it, it says they are addictive, it warns against second hand smoke, they do all this stuff to try to keep us from doing it but we still do it. I honestly think that even if a pack of ciggs were $8, most would quit, but there are still those few that would buy them for that much. I dont see how you can make consuming a product thats been around for years illegal. The way i see it is they are trying a prohibition thing with ciggarettes like they did with alcohol, and its not going to work. And your right, name calling was a bit extreme, but i feel very strongly on this subject.

Q:what keeps us coming back to the parks over and over again? A:its never the same experiance and even when i am having the worst day in the world, coming to PKI usually makes it tolerable. But its such a great atmosphere that it just keeps sucking you towards it. Like last year when i started working there it wasnt until about the end of october that i actually started saying," I have to work today" like it was a regular job, but i was normally excited to go, whether it be for work or to go with family or friends. Cant help you with the last three though sorry

You cant ban smoking though based on what a few morons do at the park. Just because you person has a ciggarette actually on a ride doesnt mean everyone else will do it. The person that normally does it is usually either 1) drunk or 2) they have no freaking brain. You cant punish the whole crowd for like 2 bad people, it just doesnt work like that. That is why we already have the rules that we usually enforce. I mean i smoke, so do most of my friends, but if your around someone that doesnt want to be around it have some courtisy and wait till later.. Thats why we banned smoking in lines because its so tight, especially on busy days, and restraunts, but how can you BAN it in open air. If you dont want to be around then go away.

I hate rumors.... to much drama, the restraunts would be a good idea but the smoking ban would be ridiculous, and p!ss a lot of people off. I mean who do people think they are trying to make laws against people smoking in there own car or out in the OPEN. its all a bunch of bull crap to me

Yea she did work in Action Zone, i just dont remember her name. But i remember Drew, Chris, and Frank telling us all about her last year, i thought it was hilarious. She even came to the station once and chewed everyone out as a guest.
