Annual reports are a good thing The multi million dollar waterpark is "finished" they can sitll expand but for now they are done. They have more work on the rides side after removing the pain in the neck rides 1st.

The only thing ill miss about the ride is running it. Will I be first in line ready to ride? prob not. Beast it is. Thats the reason why any coaster lover goes to the park, it is there to tickle the GP's fancy. Will it hurt geuaga lake? prob not. And I wouldnt call the park troubled in the 700s is not bad for a park like many said before, CF is just taking out all the problem rides and restarting. Waterpark is finished and they can go from there.

The only grumpy people i see is people that Grumpy that they are getting a used ride from a park... Acctualy the site is ran by a college studen. There are forums for employees elsewhere. I wonder if the footers will be 20 feet high over at pki. I hated how six flags made it a darn parking lot coaster maybe it will finnaly look nice somewhere else.

People forget a lot. you gotta keep that interest rolling I guess. If they do more stories like that it sparks more interest and people would really care what the park is getting.
-
That is a weird story to report on... kinda like what they did with maverick

Does not apear to be gone

I am just saying things do not always need to be trademarked or copyrighted *NOT saying that it is gonna be called that or not.

FYI on the topic of X-flight, the rights were still held by Six Flags

Alright let's play a game! Let's have a count down till opening day... but here are the rules. You cannot post after yourself! you can go by the hour min or even sec! Starting off with 93 days!

I have had complements to the end, I even have 3 in one day . But when I was in charge I always had my crew talk and take care of guests without hurting dispatch times. When the ride went down for any reasons we had employees talking to guests on the train and guest in line. I did my best to make my crew great. Plus i did not find any later trip reports that talked about any crews. I had a great time at PKI I enjoy it more than Cedar Point, but i never remember any excellent employees that stood out besides the ones at The Beast that talked to us about Geauga Lake and how they are excited to go.

Once again 1st gen and 2nd gen vekoma flyers are very diffrent AND since there are plenty of guest that do not listen to the safety announcements and the time needed to dispatch a train the crew member has very little time to tell a guest that they need to keep their shoes on, put their hat away, take anything out of their hands, or even if their glasses have straps. If there are 2 trains going through 1 station then that forces the employee to have to go quicker, it may SEEM like the employee is being rude but they are trying to make it so that the guests on the trim do not lay on their back in the sun for more than 1 min. There is a lot of responsibilities that a crew member must do and guest do not listen to the announcements the employee either has to unlock a whole row and check it again messing up dispatch times or quickly tell guests what they must do. Many guests question but some crew members do not know, the ride manufacture told us to and some employees do not know there are many rules employees dont understand. I am sorry you guys had a bad time at the park but just for everyone thats has not gone to the park here are some testimonies about people who love the park http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forum.aspx?mode...p;TopicID=44756 "Although the food service employees weren't all that bright or attentive, I must give props to the ride-ops who not only interacted with us, but also asked us how our day was going, how we were doing, and how our ride was. This included ones over the PA & the indivudal ones who strapped us in (such as X-Flight). I appreciate that interaction and it helped with our overall guest experience."

Between breaks there are extra people and they are ussaly sent to do something instead of getting paid to "nothing" the guest can ask any questions as they are strapped in. You do not know what is in our hand book... plus our sups tell us to do it.

Well... every park does not have great employees. I admit that geauga lake does not have the greatest employees but thats why good leadership is the key. I was in charge the last part of the season at x-flight and I always made sure that my workers were nice and didn't take anger out on guests. There are lots of misunderstandings too, with Cedar Fair there are many rules that employees have to enforce and sometimes we do not know the reason why we have the rules but as employees we enforce them. I think once CF enforces new rules onto the paramount parks it may be difficult at 1st but Im sure they can handle it. Like I was saying before X-flight is a very hard ride to run many things have to be done and it took the employees there a long time to learn it and people training them have worked with the ride since it opened, trained by vekoma themselves. I just dont think the beginning of the ride will be very successful with capacity, it takes a good 2 months plus to actually master there ride. Lets not have war of the parks going on right here (if x-flight even lands there)... peace out...

Beining in charge, i always told employees to talk to the guests while they waited in line and if they were ever rude I would not except that. Guests are always rude at x-flight, they do not liek to follow the rules, and they have lots of them. An employee should never ride on any train even if there is an extra employee, they should sleep or clean or pretend like they are doing something. At geauga lake we are told never to cross our arms and not to lean. I am just saying from what I saw at KI i dont think they could keep the pase needed without stacking, if they were to get they flyer. Ps.. i like you coastersrz.
-
Yes, I had such a great time at Kings Island minus the stacking, employees riding rides, having arms crossed and slowching, and not responding to questions, it was all good. Oh well
-
Well since you are the only one to ever have a bad encounter with the 2006 x-flight crew you can talk smack... we dont care
-
What did they look like or what was their name? I worked with that crew and noone on that crew would ever say that, not even the worst employee... For one our crew got many complements throughout the year... We had one employee that would do that, lets just say she didn't have a job for long.
-
Even before i worked at geauga lake i always thought they were always so friendly. They only get mad when people don't listen. I tired talking to employees down at Kings Island and they only friendly ones were at The Beast.
-
I have worked my fair share of coasters... i know how its not just pressing a green button. I was just saying there is a lot to the ride to learn and than dispatching. I am willing to work down at KI i acctualy was thinking of applying but there is no rooming for employees.
