  1. I have ridden SOB around 100 times over the last two years, and the ride is always different. I was at PKI a few weeks ago and took advantage of the Action Zone early ride deal. I decided to conduct my own little experiment on SOB. I was looking for how the ride is different in different seats. I rode SOB around 16 times in one hour. My favorite seat is the last seat in the last car. I rode in that seat 4 times in a row without any major pain. The bottom of the first drop was smooth as glass. As I started to move up in the train, I noticed the ride got progressively rougher. About the time I got to the second car, first seat, it was the worst ride I had experienced. So I moved back to the back seat and it was great. I never got past the second car. This fluxuates every time I visit. Weather, train weight, and track condition all are factors in predicting how the ride will be. Sometimes its rough, sometimes its smooth. It changes all the time. But one of the most important things about riding SOB is HOW you ride it. You have to anticipate turns, drops, and all sorts of g forces. If you ride it enough, you will learn how to ride it.
  2. The ride I miss most is Kenton Kove Keelboat Canal. That was the greatest water ride in the park in my opinion. There was never a line so you could ride as many times you wanted without waiting more than five minutes. I thought it was cool how they had bluegills and other fish in the pond where you could see them while you were on the ride. That was a great ride.
  3. If you look a little closer then you could see that the smiles are rolling their eyes.
  4. I know the answer to this one. With the family pass you dont have to have them made at the same time. I went with some friends and got my pass made before everyone else in my family did.
  5. I also saw it. I believe it is on page 46-47. The story was about "The Prozac Family." I knew it was SOB just by looking at it. Its a pic of the first helix and the drop into it.
  6. That could be but mostly its because you dont fit correctly in the restraints. The park doesnt want anyone getting hurt on their rides. I dont think the poles are close enough to actually come in contact with, so its basically because of how the restraints are made.
  7. No, I think anyone can go in. That place is crazy.

This is redicilous. I agree with mars1825. It feels like every time read these boards my IQ drops.
  9. I saw it too. I was almost done taking it when it said "server busy" and it kicked me off. I'll try again later. They had some pretty interesting rides and ideas this time.
  10. I dont. I mean, the park isnt that big. Come on now.
  11. Yea, I saw it today. Most of the basic structure was put up(framing). There was even a crew working on it when I was there. I think it is way too big to be an on ride photo booth. It was pretty good sized too. I think its gonna be a new shop.
  12. I dont think so. You have to have a gold pass to ride again. Or maybe they might since theres an empty seat... I guess you'll figure that out on tuesday.
  13. Ah... I see. There would probably be too many people to fit them all up there though.
  14. That would be an awesome idea, but isnt that the conference room?
  15. Oh golly. BJ's in the photo booth. What a "crafty" couple. Well thats kinda creepy that someone would do that in the park... But these days, people do crazy things.
  16. I like it better with the breaks off. More speed... A little rougher but the speed and airtime is worth it.

    Yep... Sure is.
  18. Just as I suspected...
  19. Im pretty sure what I saw was right under it. It had a sign and everything... It looked like a regular lift under the "real one" Thats just what I saw, but the heat probably made me think it was there... Like a mirage... LOL. If it was me... I'd do it on the bridge across the creek by Wings... But thats just me.

Yea, there was a concrete truck there and everything. It was green

When I was at PKI on Tuesday, I saw a concrete crew pouring a good sized pad by AE's exit. They were adding it on to the pad where the rock wall was.

I've gotta go with the airtime as well. Thats my favorite part.
  23. I've rode it many times and I have experienced that feeling. It kinda scared me at first, but then it made it alot more out of controll and fun. It happens on the lift all the time.

The last time I went to PKI (June 24) I was riding the Forewards Racer when I felt something hit my legs. I reached under the seat and I pulled out a seat belt buckle. Was that used as a restraint system, or a back up for the lap bar like on FoF?
