  1. I hope we get a B&M Inverted hyper coaster that sets the record for inversions and utilizes the terrain around Son of Beast. (I can dream right?) In all seriousness though, Diamondback is enough for me! I would like a big boy invert one of these days however!
  2. Ladies and Gentlemen, do not trust an individual that repeatedly makes claims of fact when they obviously know nothing of the situation or they would get it right, or at least provided some proof. Cramer, "They cut the dividend [...]" I'm sorry, but as has been stated here, NO, they have not. They are CONSIDERING it. If I told you that Magic Kingdom at the Disney World complex is the largest Theme Park in the country, and that Splash Mountain is a roller coaster, would you REALLY believe me when I tell you that Splash Mountain is receiving a name change? Understand that Cramer's mutual and hedge funds of which he has managed in the past never took off. (He would still be a private portfolio manager). He is on TV because his personality is infectious, not necessarily because he is the most knowledgeable in his profession. I do not want to discredit him too much, but take what he says with a grain of salt, especially when he gets his information wrong! And really, I think most everyone here knew that the stock price was tied to their dividend, especially with how leveraged they are compared to the market cap.
  3. I have always wondered, is this more due to the maintenance not done, poor materials used, design work not being as "forward-looking" as it should have been, or just dumb luck due to the forces and external variables affecting our wooden friends? Or a combination of the above? I wonder because The Beast seems to be somewhat violent especially in the back, but I wouldn't really call it rough it just attacks you. SOB on the other hand obviously is one I would call rough, or even Racer Blue side for that matter. Rollernut offered up the idea that even if Hurler was re-tracked it wouldn't make much of a difference, is the structural design really that bad on this coaster? I have not ridden it!
  4. Well, they just bought I think 2 minutes and a half of ad space during the Super bowl, and spent 15 Million!
  5. Nevermind, post removed by me.
  6. "Visit KIC for opinions" is at the bottom of the list, haha, thats good.
  7. It would have to be a full time job. We would have to relocate. That's down the road anyway. You should keep looking more often then. They certainly become available from time to time.
  8. If you want to get wet, go stand on the Congo Falls bridge. You can stand and get wet until your heart's content! As Don mentioned they want to avoid puddling in front of LaRosa's a very high traffic area.
  9. New Blog entry by Don Helbig on KIDiamondback.com: 138 up, 3 to go! 1/23/08
  10. I guess that plays to the old adage, "You just can't always trust everything you read!"
  11. Actually, that's not quite true. Cedar Fair just declared Fourth Quarter distribution for the end of fiscal year 2008. They have NOT declared First quarter distribution for this fiscal year or the total per share amount for this fiscal year as of yet. More than likely that will not be done until March/April. Here is the record of distributions for Cedar Fair: http://www.cedarfair.com/ir/financial/distribution/ So, they only declared 4th Quarter which is inline with the previous declaration of $1.92 per year. They have not yet released fiscal year 2009's distribution info. The distributions stay consistent each quarter over the year.
  12. J.D. can you stitch the most recent photo of the white crane into that picture and post it? they are getting ready to hoist Two pieces together onto that final helix....
  13. This thing is really coming to life, and slithering into our little enthusiast hearts! I can't wait to ride that monstrosity, it just looks like it bounces around the terrain. What a wicked ride! Great pics too!
  14. WHY IS EVERYBODY YELLING? lol
  15. GREAT, new pictures up!! Yes I reiterate, Great, because we get to see inside the station for the first time! That Control box looks great! http://www.kiDiamondback.com/public/latest/gallery/
  16. Was it? I'm an idiot if I missed that, I really didn't catch that in the 'answer'. Yeah the answer was "In Cinncinati, Kings Island's The Beast is the World's Longest wooden (this)" Question: What is a Roller coaster?
  17. It was really "Worlds longest wooden (what)?"
  18. Looks like the aquarium, jumped the shark, seemingly overnight! Here PETA, PETA! Here PETA, PETA!
  19. Absolutely, we expected it, and we are giving you a chance. You need to take the criticism and just roll with it. That criticism is what makes people develop better judgment and maturity. Lastly, you said you would try to sit back and read more, yet you are posting at the same clip as before. We are giving you a chance, but don't keep slipping up. You wouldn't have the extra chances if people didn't think you were worthy for their good graces. You will learn in your life that slip-ups happen, some when we think they would be the least possible; you learn from them and by meeting that adversity head on, you hope that who you are and what you are truly about means more than the mistake you made.
  20. I hope you wander by Diamondback's entrance, and in doing so cease to wonder what it will look like...
  21. This is indeed my biggest worry. It is well known that I truly adore Busch Gardens Africa, and that I absolutely adore Walt Disney World in the exact same breath. I am worried that Disney would come in and do a complete re-band. There is nothing in my mind wrong with the Disney model of entertainment in their theme parks, but I also think there is nothing wrong with what creative decisions that were made with the Busch Parks. I just like both, and wish that somehow both entertainment models could coexist in the same company. A "Disney Gardens" would be great in my mind, the characters could come over to the Busch parks, and maybe rides like what one finds in the Animal Kingdom would be great additions. I would not like to see the Disney Plastic (As wooferbear would undoubtedly coin it) make its way to the Gardens' however. It works well in the Disney Parks, but many people would love to enjoy both theme models as I surely would. I hope whoever gets the Busch parks keeps some of the same real world, majestic theming of the Busch parks, and does not dive to far into fantasy.
  22. I actually have to agree with Standbyme, if there is info that we should know, put it on here. We have this site as our newsletter!
  23. Photo Update to the Photo gallery at KiDiamondback.com! http://www.kiDiamondback.com/public/latest/gallery/
  24. I have no idea where those are. The employee entrance to the parking lot is that access road directly across from Sunoco and adjacent to Boomerang Bay. There is a sign in front of the entrance that tells you which exit off of that access road to take for deliveries, associate parking etc. Just pick the correct lane and follow that until you see the V.I.P. parking area. Not to mention you will see the mods cars!
