A Blast From the Past
The historical items that most of us would probably never come in contact with had we not been a part of this community is staggering. Absolutely staggering. We are so privileged to have access to the internet and this site, and be in contact with people that have many the same interest as ourselves. Thanks KIC, and Thanks Don!

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
I think what Robbie is saying is there are certain pieces that the crew has to have in place before they can go on break. The supports for the first helix are up, but the track needed in order for them to take a break is not up yet. Once they get the supports required for the break run, then they obviously can go on their break run! Although I wonder how much time they get? Ok, I will take a brake!

Great Wolf may lose Ohio resort
Tough times don't last forever. GE usually has positive cash flows; sitting on a grand property like GWL shouldn't be too hard for a company of their economic size. These are tough times, but sometimes there is nothing wrong with just waiting out a storm.

Cypress Gardens to Close for 4 Months
They are also on Ital International's website. This makes me sad, I really liked Cypress Gardens, and it seems that they just keep shooting themselves in their feet. The ski show itself is awesome. And the rides are very family oriented. It is a beautiful park! http://italintl.com/Cypress-Gardens-Amusement-Rides.php

Hard Rock Park Investors Shift Focus To:
Ahahahaha...that article is a great read. I want to climb Barbecue Mountain and careen down gravy falls, sounds like a fun ride! Personally, I think if someone does want to invest in one of these theme parks, and they are willing to live with the consequences then let them! But, as for the particular investment in Bible Park after already being invested in HRP, I have to side with Terpy and the author of that article. Are these people even doing feasibility studies? Yes I know, HRP thought they would get 30,000 people per day. That is not a feasibility study, that is a profitability study....and everyone told them that that figure in a first year is unheard of. I do wish to ride that new 4-D show that will in all likely hood be at Bible park, as it is now at HRP. What's it called, "Bankruptcy Court"? Yeah, yeah, I think that's it! Who knows maybe they pull it off. It seems unlikely they will...

Excuse me? What opinion did I state?? I stated no opinion as to whether it would have more airtime than Voyage. NEVER ONCE did I compare Voyage to Diamondback.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
You should ask the Interpreter, just how much and where he gets his air-time when he sits in the Night Row. Take that and you should have a decent guesstimate. I would bargain to say that will be a conservative estimate, but an estimate never the less.

BREAKING: Hard Rock Park Bankrupt: Files Chapter 7
That ride will not just cost 2 Million dollars. The cost to dismantle, and relocate, in fact just the shipping costs will greatly exceed that figure that you list, in all likelihood!

KI Should Get This Ride!
Uh, yeah, and not but a couple of people per cycle even chose to ride while we were there! It certainly does not look very thrilling at all! There is great wisdom in the words, "You can polish a t***, but its still a t***". You can get it running, but it doesn't mean the patrons come running!

Skywriter, you need to read CoastersRZ's posts to Beast1979 much more carefully. Beast1979 has continually made posts that are not clear, and mangle some of our conversations and other discussions. He also states as fact that which cannot be labeled a fact. He has continually made these blunders after being warned continually by mods here to discontinue posting non-sense.

Beast Getting Redisigned Entrance
It is called Forced Perspective. The scale of the upper "floors" reduces as you move to the top of the building. This tricks the eye into thinking objects are larger than they actually are. At the Disney property in Florida, all buildings over 200 feet must have a red light atop the structure to warn air traffic of impending structures. Disney himself felt that a red light at the top of Cinderella's Castle was unpleasant, and asked his imagineers to come up with a way to make the castle taller than it really is. The result is Forced Perspective, and the castle stands remarkably, at only 189 feet, although it appears much much taller when standing on Main Street.

PTR: French Lick, IN and Dollywood
Actually, you are quite wrong...Most of the carriages there in that shop next to Blazing Fury are indeed on sale with the Gold Pass. And, there is more than one carriage in that building, about 7 for sale, including the carriages and some benches. Some items in there are not on sale, HOWEVER, many of them are on sale with the Gold Pass and they are on sale by nearly 2000 buckaroos with the Gold Pass. Robbie can confirm that. He is the one that discovered it, I merely report.

PTR: French Lick, IN and Dollywood
Yes, If you are going to be purchasing a hand-crafted Horse drawn carriage from Dollywood in the near future it is highly advisable to buy a Gold Pass! You will save yourself roughly $2,000 dollars, isn't that right Robbie? LOL

PTR: French Lick, IN and Dollywood
And, According to the associates working, their roller coasters will run in no less than 36 degree weather. Yeah, Robbie and I were shocked that they would run them that cold as well!

Geauga Lake Carousel to be Renovated and Relocated
I still find it somewhat funny that Big Dipper went at Auction for $5,000 for anyone that can remove it. I just think it is funny that I would have easily had the cash to buy the thing....and have family connections that could have removed it...I just never could have erected it! haha
