A very Brady Reunion
I was just wondering if we could compile a list of the songs sung by Greg Brady during his performances today. There was one song towards the end that I found quite touching and would like to find a copy of...Thanks all!

Kings Island Railroad Music
Stan Jones originally wrote the song in 1948. Vaughn Monroe made it popular in 1949 with the first chart topping for the song. His version is the most well known, and best-selling. Johnny Cash recorded a version in 1979.

Holiday to add something big....
This is actually my greatest fear with the addition. A little time loading will be lost to wiping water off the seats for guests that complain (I don't blame them, I don't like buckling those water-logged seat belts when I go to parks). This leads to less capacity and longer lines. It won't be a huge problem, I'm not saying that, an inconvenience though-yes. Law of unintended consequences impacts more than just economics!

Holiday to add something big....
According to the Blueprint, this is an Intamin "Mega Splash", Aptly-named! I second Railrider, the elevator lift looks interesting in the least, and will be a nice butterfly creator on the way up!

Can Six Flags Survive This Roller Coaster Ride?
Wow, you really don't understand the stock market at all. A 60 cent gain for six flags is the same as a 15.00 gain for Disney. The Dollars and cents really don't matter much except during stock buybacks and IPO (Initial Public Offerings). Once stock is in the secondary market i.e. Wall Street. The Percent gain is what matters, and even then all the stocks price tells you is investor confidence in how a company is being run by its management team. Also, as long as the stock stays above a dollar (The typical cutoff for the exchange to remove a stock) they will be fine, at least as far as the exchange is concerned. If you really think it is that easy for a Corporation to double A stock price, at ANY amount, then you really really have no clue. Not to mention, the stock has been above One dollar over the last month. And when news of the first positive year of cash flows hits the wire for a company that has not had a year of positive cash flows, investors will eat that up. It would be BIG news. The NEW Six Flags business model heavy on technology and sponsorship and integrated marketing techniques will be duplicated by others. They are showing that they at least have some good ideas that are leading towards positive cash flows. Keep in mind too, that on July 1 the stock closed at 1.05. Today it closed at 1.06. The stock was down with the market because investor sentiment was broad-based across all indices and sectors. The good news is that for almost two months, the stock price has not gone down, and it hasn't really gone up. They are standing pat, and in their financial situation, that is the least that investors and creditors can hope for at this point. They are on the right track. Whether they continue to derail or not remains to be seen.

Can Six Flags Survive This Roller Coaster Ride?
Actually they can. And I still hold the thought that they will. That article was actually very in-depth on the matters and didn't really choose sides while offering a fresh perspective of the company, I quite enjoyed reading that...It wasn't too much that most of us didnt know already, but it brought it all together. I think they are turning the corner!

Holiday to add something big....
First off, I was not stating anything about the ride being larger than The Voyage. I simply showed the facts, that Voyage was 6.5 Million and the new investment is more than 8 Million. And I further instituted those wondering about the new ride to do the math themselves, for there are involved calculations needed to see how much of a ride 8 mill plus will buy. I simply gave a benchmark from three years ago. I made no claims in what I posted, no claims at all.

Holiday to add something big....
Also, for the fun fact of the Day, my dear forgetful people, The Voyage had a "listed" investment of 6.5 Million. This investment is over 8 Million. Do the math.

Holiday to add something big....
Back when Korey was at Holiday World, there was a post made. The blog poster said that Korey should comment the blog and leave a clue. Korey said this in his comment as "GravityGrouper" he stated: I Feel so used? And "Pretty sure [...] TALLEST IN THE MIDWEST" First off, Ohio although many of us think it is the "Midwest" is many times placed Central United States or on the very west edge of the North East USA. So exclude rides in Ohio...we need to look for the tallest rides (possibly roller coasters) in Indiana, Missouri, Illinois...etc. Just my two cents, I think this may have been the WORLDS LONGEST clue...nope? OK, nevermind, its not

Be our guest! Be our guest!
Yes, we do! It was a great day, I was just so happy to meet everyone. It was great to see how much our large group interacted with each other too, that was surreal! We really need to get that Disney Trip together if possible. I think some of us KIC'ers should go and have a good time at the House of the Mouse!

Columbus: A Day At Zoombezi Bay
There was a disease pandemic that nearly wiped out the entire Giraffe Population at the Columbus Zoo a few years ago. To protect the herd's animals they were split up and put on lease to other zoological facilities throughout the country. This happened right about the same time that the old african area of the zoo was transformed into Asia Quest! It was a way to quarantine the animals, protect them and in the same time frame update an area of the zoo. The disease affected many of the African Savannah type animals at both the Col Zoo and the Cincinnati Zoo as well as many others throughout the world. If I can dig up more public info I will share. If not just take my word for it!

Six Flags says early 3Q revenue up 7.6 percent on attendance, spending growth

Columbus: A Day At Zoombezi Bay
Seemed to be a lack of animals? The Columbus Zoo has the largest species count of any zoo in the world, and is second in size only to the San Diego Zoo which it will tie in 2009 with the unveiling of Polar Frontier, and surpass in 2011 with African Savannah! Also Asia Quest was new in 2006 and it is a very nice area! You must have went on a day when the animals just were not out in full force. Compared to the Columbus Zoo the Cincinnati Zoo is a hole-in-the-wall! Both in acreage and in Species count! I do agree with you that some of the exhibits could use updating. That is coming...in the next couple of years...stay tuned!

Columbus: A Day At Zoombezi Bay
Zoombezi Bay and Jungle Jack's landing is a nice little park combination. I took a trip to the Columbus Zoo with a friend of mine Back in mid July. The park is not yet fully landscaped, but if the zoo puts the kind of time and money into landscaping the park that they put into the zoo, then there will be some nice rides with some nice sights. The rides lineup is quite nice for what you get. Not to mention every employee that my friend and I came across were extremely friendly! She and I were very impressed with what the Zoo is trying to do with the former Wyandot Lake area! They also have FLYING SCOOTERS!! And I got my first ride on the Sea Dragon, which still utilizes Manual operation! I will post the pictures I took here soon, I know someone will want to see people attempting to snap the scooters, lol. I just haven't put them on photobucket yet!

Last Day to Purchase KIC Day Tickets is TODAY!
Guys, if you haven't bought your tickets you really should get them! I just purchased my ticket at about midnight after seeing that I am available on Aug 16th! I am so excited to be going to KIC Day The Second Coming! You all who missed out last year, DO NOT miss out this year! You really will regret it! We had so many fun activities lined up last year, and this year will be so much better! The Construction tour and the awesome buffet as well as free drinks, are almost worth the price of admission alone! Throw in Cast meet and greets, a Q&A with a full-timer, the scavenger hunt (What a great activity at the park we all love) and exclusive ride time on Invertigo and Racer and you have a full day! Oh and did I forget, views of Son of Beast that you just need to see in person to believe? This day is going to be something special, and if you haven't bought your ticket yet you need to! Even if you just want to go to a few events, come to the dinner meet some of your fellow KICers and shoot the breeze and just come to the park to ride rides like you would any other day! This event SHOULD NOT be missed! I can not begin to tell you how much fun we had last year...it truly is an amazing event! Buy your tickets today before they become history!

Another Construction Update 8-1-08
Ravine is a little strong its pretty much a dip. there is not a very big drop, 30-40 feet maybe. Granted, if it was straight down that may be seem significant, but it is rather gradual. I believe your estimate is a little on the short side...
