  1. Or maybe they could call it the Enchanted Story. And stick in a giant snail.
  2. That's a great idea, marlfox. I always liked the waterfall area, even before it got turned into the Paramount Story. As long as it's done tastefully and not garishly, I think it would be very nice and much more appropriate to an amusement park that's 2,000 miles away from Hollywood.
  3. Rides I miss: Enchanted Voyage Screamin' Demon' -- wish I'd gotten to Camden Park to ride it in its later years Rotor The elephant ride The monorail Being able to walk up to the first platform on the Eiffel Tower Tumblebug Zodiac Keelhaul Canal -- simply the best flume ride ever! The canoe ride -- it was dorky and hard work, but it was fun as a little kid The Bat Oh, what the heck, anything that used to be at that park that's gone. I want my childhood back!
  4. Nice postcard. I wish I'd been around to see the old Coney Island. This summer, I'm meaning to hit the new Coney and Stricker's Grove on July 4th. I keep planning to do it, and this season, by golly, I intend to follow through!
  5. I sure hope not!
  6. "Large" doesn't even begin to describe Toronto. Toronto is vast -- heck, it's the fourth largest city in North America. That's a huge market in which to essentially have a monopoly. Plus, and I'm echoing others' sentiments here, it's a beautiful park. I visited this summer, and found it relaxing, charming, and with surprisingly short waits for most rides, despite the fact the park was fairly packed. (P)CW is one park CF won't have to do much to, except perhaps strip out some Paramount theming.
  7. ^^ (in Elvis voice) Thank you, thank you very much.
  8. Things I'd like to see at TPFKAPKI: A dark ride. No battling bank robbers, just a nice relaxing ride like westcoaster suggested. A GCI or Gravity Group woodie. Especially if it can be built to hug the terrain like The Beast. More shade in the Action Zone area. That place is like a frying pan in July. A spinning mouse, maybe inside. Better landscaping. How about a nice lake? Maybe with some sort of relaxing, charming ride of yesteryear overlooking...oh, wait. Never mind.
  9. Heading clockwise from the gate: SOB Top Gun Adventure Express Racer Vortex Beast Fairly Odd Coaster (it'll always be the Scooby Doo to me!)
  10. ^^ Thanks, BoddaH. I hope PKI fans aren't too revved up about X-Flight. When it was at Geauga Lake it was about my sixth or seventh favorite coaster at the park. For me, it was always boring and fairly uncomfortable. I'd much rather take a spin on Raging Wolf Bobs or Dominator any day. But then again, every ride has its fans. It ought to be a decent complement to FOF and Face Off. I'm just wondering if at this juncture there's even enough time to get it installed for an early season opening. Last I saw in the photos, there weren't any footers put in in the construction zone yet. That's not leaving a whole lot of time.
  11. Hi guys! First time poster, long time lurker here. GL is my 'home' park, although KI and CP are my most beloved parks. From the looks of that picture, I would guess that that picture was taken from park property. It's hard to say for sure, but to me it looks like the angle that the photographer was shooting from would have intercepted the X-Flight deconstruction site. So if he had been shooting from across the road, it would have been through a whole lot of fencing and other obstructions. By the way, I love this forum!
