  1. Sigh. Unless, of course, you look at the CapEx statement (Which would suggest a much bigger investment then a Star Flyer), the interview with the GM of the park (Who said that the word 'Star' has nothing to do with it, AND it probably won't change the skyline of the park) and AIRtImE. If you ignore all of those clues, then sure, I guess you could interpret the rest of the clues to mean a StarFlyer (And what other clues are there? Dick Kinzel saying that 'There's More to thrill rides then just coasters', and 'Stratosoar'?) Not to mention, they have a tendency to lie or mislead, so none of the clues (For or against Star Flyer) may mean anything. So again...why are we all so certain it's a Star Flyer, or GCI, or Intamin, etc, etc...
  2. I'm at Flight Deck right now, and unless they're trying to theme it to a science experiment, explaining how metal rusts after left untouched, there's nothing new here.
  3. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/photo.php?pid=4892767&id=95469803923 Maybe Stratosoar was for Canada's Wonderland?
  4. I thought it was a pretty cool water ride. My favorite water ride is still Jurassic Park River Adventure, followed by Wildabeest.
  5. Hints towards Star Flyer: Cedar Fair registered the name "StratoSoar" (Which applies not only to all 11 Cedar Fair Parks, but parks are known for registering names they never use) Hints against Star Flyer: GM of the park said it would barely change the skyline, that the word "Star" has nothing to do with it, and AIRtImE. So the hints point away from Star Flyer...Then again, we all know Cedar Point's tendency to lie when releasing clues...and if this is the case, why are we bothering to speculate on what could be false clues?
  6. I really don't like how they're doing this now. I liked back in 2008, when Kings Island announced an official date to release it, put a flippin countdown on their homepage, and released a steady flow of clues up until the announcement. With this, it seems as though they're either lazy or trying to capitalize off of it. I agree with Go Browns, it's like "We'll release something when we get to it", and I don't like it.
  7. Cedar Point's Facebook Page: Anyone who's on Facebook: Suggest to friends!
  8. Thanks Vortexfan. Non-Star and semi-changing the skyline, imo, points to either a smaller flat (in which case, how would that appeal to teens, or how would that be nostalgic of old Cedar Point?) Or a smaller coaster. I still say GCI, even if I am in the minority
  9. Lol. I think you're looking into it way too much.
  10. It's not full circuit. People always recognize Magnum as the worlds first hyper, but there was a shuttle coaster that was built before it that went 200 feet. If KI built a B&M invert over 200 feet, people would recognize it as the first.
  11. Yes, they could call it "Cookie Cutter".... I'd rather have 5 very good cookies. Then why would you want a B&M? God forbid we get something like Vortex or Intrimadator at Carowinds, Superman, Ultimate Flight at SFGAd, or Great Bear. Or god forbid we get something like Diamondback, or Kraken, or Dragon's Challenge, or Raptor, or Dominator, these are just the ones I've ridden!
  12. I'm not. I'm assuming I won't be able to afford both events and get my mom to take me to both events. For me, its one or the other, regardless of the date. Remember, I'm only 14 dude!
  13. Yes, they could call it "Cookie Cutter".... I'd rather have 5 very good cookies that are almost exactly alike, than 5 mediocre cookies that are very unique, if you catch my analogy. I most certainly would not mind a B&M Inverted at KI. To me, for some reason, a B&M floorless just doesnt seem needed until Vortex is gone. I dunno why, I just feel that way.
  14. The thing with me is, I can go to Cedar Point anytime with my Platinum Pass, and I can only go to Holiday World once, maybe twice, so if they add something like a StarFlyer, I'd rather go to Holiwood Nights for my one Holiday World trip, and do Cedar Point some other time.
  15. If Cedar Point adds a Star Flyer for 2011, I will probably do Holiwood Nights instead of CoasterMania. People say things like they won't buy passes for next year, or they'll never visit the park again, which are usually just statements made to express their disappointment. But for me, if it's a choice between Holiwood Nights and CoasterMania (Which it will be), then I would rather go to Holiday World then to Cedar Point if Cedar Point has relatively nothing new to offer.
  16. Lately Carowinds has been teasing on their Facebook Page for a new announcement 15 days from now. Apparently regarding 2011, they've posted their clues as Profile Pictures, all of these clues fitting into the puzzle. Tuesday: Wednesday: Today: I'm not good at puzzles, let's have someone else figure this one out!
  17. If Chang became a sit down, the ride's heartline would become a lot higher on the rider. If the heartline was originally at the center of the chest, it would become at or above the head. Point is, if you converted the trains, the heartline would be different, and I'm not sure B&M would let that go.
  18. This is a flippin Greek Tragedy. I never even rode the coaster and it's hard to look at.
  19. They said a Mid-August announcement, so I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement this weekend.
  20. Considering that Cedar Point didn't get anything close to a 'Thrill ride' until later, I think 1870 just signifies that's when Cedar Point opened. It also shows that whatever they add is meant to be nostalgic towards that era.
  21. Here's the profile pic on Facebook. I can honestly say, I'm excited.
  22. Were you around KI during 2008? The hype that Diamondback got was insane. Maverick was hyped a lot too. Imagine the hype that Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force got.
