Diamondback construction is going at an excellent pace and is currently on schedule. It will be ready to open with the park on April 18th. EDIT: My Bad

Is this because Construction is behind schedule and they wont have it ready for April 17th? (Just guessing)

The main reason I bought my Gold Pass was for Preview Day. :(

The gentlemen's name is Peter Alexander and he was the main designer and builder for Universal. He now owns a company called Totally Fun Company out of Tampa. Look at his web site. I have been to the facility and that area is on the rebound for sure. As far as the facility, there is nothing like it in the midwest. Very nice and I took my family there. Last night there was a shooting at Washington Square so the violence has moved to the east side. Dont knock it to you try it. It is no KI but very nice and entertaining for an Indoor space. Food was very good also. Are you sure that area is on the rebound? I think not. They announce last week that Macys is going to be closing which is their last department store. Steve and Barrys just closed.... X-Scape is neat...but not neat enough to revitalize a dying area...

When is Don going to update the blog...... I want info on the coaster event...

The only two coasters at KI with bad capacity are Firehawk and Invertigo. Everything else was running very well whenever I went this summer. Crypt, Flight of Fear, Son of Beast, any of these ring a bell? SOB runs at the best capacity it possibly could with two trains....Not once have I seen them stack full trains. IMO, FOF isn't that bad. I give the best crew award to either BLSC or Beast.

those trains are probably in pretty bad shape.....

EDIT: ^No, it's basically crowded the whole day. HUGE CROWDS! Expect lots of waiting for food and rides. Go on a Friday Night at KI, It is much less crowded. Cedar Point is basically crowded all the time.....

I completely agree. FD>Firehawk. IMHO.

Flight Deck is amazing! The loss would be something that couldn't be replaced. I don't think that I would want any other ride in it's place.....And Beast1979, there are seven operating suspended-swinging coasters, not 10. EDIT: Angrybeaver beat me to it.
