Pretty Close; The Firehawk and Spongebob cups are $1.99 for Pop to refill and $2.99 to refill with an Icee at the stands that sell the Souvenir Cups. The Mix-it-up can only be filled at that one stand. Hope this clarifies this.

No Kings Island has 2 different cups, 1. a Firehawk and Spongebob cup (ie. Souvonier Cup) and an Icee cup for use at one stand (it looks like an hour glass) Both are $2.99 to refill, but the ICEE cup is only good at the one stand with the multiple flavors.. The Souvonier cup is good at all stands that sell Pop and Icee.. All this is about is VALUE. If you want value, then get the Souvonier Cup; not the hour glass one.

I like your pics, but the one that is above the stand (that shows prices) is missing, I will take one today when I am up at the park.

SHOW US in writing what you are claiming, EVERY stand that sells the cups has the same price sign! IE... Kings Island set the price... Souvonier cup REFILL WITH ICEE......$2.99; Souvonier cup RELL WITH POP $1.99 Maybe you should learn to read the signs at the stands... If everyone of these stands are independent; then maybe you can explain why Kings Island staffs them? and not the vendors? Why they ALL have the same prices? Waiting for a smart answer.

Above each stand that sells an Icee is a cost of $2.99 For Souvonier Cup refill with ICEE!!!!!!! Look at the signs!

I purchased an Icee Mix It Up cup yesterday and as in a prior post someone asked which one held the most? The Icee Mix It Up holds HALF of what the Firehawk and Spongebob cups hold! For the excact refill amount $2.99 (Icee Mix It Up Stand price and Souvonier Cup refill stand price), Why waste your hard money. The only benifit of the Mix It Up is more choices of flavors..

NO, I mean; The signs say 1.99 for POP and 2.99 for ICEE refills in the Souvonier Cups! Next visit look at the price sign above a stand Last year some stands only charged 1.99 for both POP & ICEE , BUT others charged the 2.99 that the sign above each stand for an ICEE.... Each of the refills is for the Souvonier Cup...

Nice pictures! And you can see in the newer stand that refills are 2.99; at the other stands that sell the Spongebob and Firehawk cups, they also show 2.99 for ICEE refills; but on opeing day, they would not allow ICEE's in the Spongebob and Firehawk cups...

I have last years cups and cups from the year before that AND yes I have a Firehawk from this year and could not get an ICEE in it, a kid at the stand next to Planktons Plunge wanted me to purchase a large ICEE cup and he said it was good for the season; but that cup he wanted us to buy would not last one day (it was really cheezy). My wife and I were told only pop in the Firehawk cup; and we even pointed out the sign above the window said Souvonier Cup ICEE refil 2.99.... This is posted in the forum and not in a PM...

Ok, what is a Kings Dominion Souvenir Cup? I didn't see one of those at the park anywhere! They are still selling the two cups from last year.... and the cups don't have dates on them! OK, The link in the post above is from Kings Dominion in VIRGINIA, does not apply to Kings Island in OHIO...... Why would we care what goes on in Virginia when this post is only about Kings Island? Two different parks, two different set of rules. May be the same owner, but not the same.

alot of the people that come from the lodge next door have braclets on for using their water area. We seen them last year with them on.

I haven't chewed anyone out! and I tried going through the proper channels, but you get a pre-scripted response when you call relations. Did you hear about the toddler yesterday that was run over by her neighbor? Not far from what is going on at Kings Island. This is an accident waiting to happen. Why wait for the outcome when it can be corrected now?

By doing it the way they do, you are forced to engage far more "Foot Traffic" and create more backups in the "High Traffic Area". By doing it the proper way, you would not encounter any foot traffic and would lessen congestion in the general area. So where is the safety? I will keep crying about this until it is done right. My kids and some of yours have to cross this "High Traffic Area"; I've seen people run the stop sign and not even a care that kids are there. If you don't like my crying; then don't read the blog.

Guess some don't understand, I know where the Gold Pass lot is, and alot of you know where the Gold Pass lot is, but you cannot go straight into the lot when you enter the parking area, you have to drive to the left of the Gold lot along the orange cones that stop you from going into the Gold area, continue along to the front of the roadway, go past the Main Sign and the pop machines, hang a left into the General parking area, following people from out of town who don't know where they are or where they want to park at. Come to a stop sign and try and turn right while alot of people are trying to cross the street with their kids at the entrance to the Handicapped parking area. Continue driving back towards the gate you originally came into and turn right again at the Gold lot entrance, just to enter. Seems a bit much, when the simple thing to do is come into the parking area and drive maybe 300 feet straight into the Gold lot and park your car. No confusion, No crossing pedestrian areas, no following lost patrons...

It is a safety problem and a waste of gas. The traffic pattern needs to be re-evaluated. When you enter the lot, if you have a Gold Pass, you should be able to show the guard standing there where the cones start and he should allow you to go straight into the Gold lot, not drive all around and tie things up as others have also noted.... Once in the Gold lot, there wasn't a problem, just getting there . I love Cincinnati, but I don't need a tour of it just to get into the parking lot.

Why is it, when you enter the parking area; you have to drive past the Gold Pass lot to the left, go by the front sign, drive through the general parking area, loop back just to get into the Gold Pass Parking section? Wouldn't it be easier and more cost effective for visitors that have Gold Passes to come into the lot and drive straight into the Gold pass lot, or doesn't Kings Island know what gas is going for? Kings Island had two bike gaurds standing there, and they could have let Gold Pass cards go straight in. The second problem was when you purchase a refilable sports cup (Sponge Bob and Firehawk), some of the stands today would not allow you to put Icee in them! We were told that the sports cups were for POP only; even for the 2.99 price that the signs say.... Even the new ICEE stand near the train station shows 2.99 refills, but that stand said he could only do it in the cups he sold...... To clarify, POP refills are 1.99 plus tax and ICEE's are listed as 2.99 plus tax... Anyone at Kings Island management want to speak up???

It's for the kids! Last year (2007) we saw DINO at the entrance and my 3 and 5 year olds loved it. They should bring all them back this year.

What happened to the "bring a friend day"? any info???

Has anyone else had the problem with buying a family pass? Two adults and two kids to Kings Island is not a family! They say a family is 4 adults.... Kings Islands Season Pass FAQ says all you have to purchase is four passes, does not specify has to be one kind of pass.... According to the FAQ any four passes should be a family but they will not honor what they print.
