I think that what happens with the SOB accident will be more interesting than this lightening strike law suit.

I think thats one entrance for each day. That is the way it was before and why you got a hand stamp to return.

The turning point for me was when they wasted time and money on Winterfest and not doing what needed to be done. The repairs Cedar Fair is doing now needed to be done back then. If there is not enough people showing on a cold day in the spring to stay open how is there going to be enough in the winter?

Has anything done well in that location?

I think next year maybe another year of ride rotation but not for KI. I would guess that KD or Carowinds will get the next ride that will go into the former Paramount Parks.

The press release said the coasters existing seats and shoulder harnesses will be fitted into new chassis.

It would be a good coaster for KI with or without a floor. Now that they are into buying used stuff they probably could get a deal on a new coaster with used trains.

I think this is how it goes. A guest gets off I71 to wait 1hr to get through the tolls because only one is open. Then they have to wait 1 hr to get their pass and get through the metal detectors. Then they find that there are rides closed and they see the price of food. All this time the fury is building up to be unleashed on the first employee that they feel made the wrong move. If you are going to treat people with respect and get it in return it has to start at the tolls.

I don't think it was not knowing what to do. It's more like they don't know how much money they want to spend on it.

They have been working on SoB since the middle or end of last season. By the looks of the flyover photos they the are committed to getting the ride open but not in 07. I don't know what the problem is but there was a time where complete rides could be built in the off season and be open on opening day.

If I remember correctly last year CP lowered prices and KI raised. With them getting to look at what worked better with buying Paramount Parks it must have been higher prices. If you have a bad feeling about opening day at KI you need to lower your expectations. It's this way every year.

Lets remember all the things that get said and have a test on it later.

I don't think they need to install new cams. They have cams all over the park and they could send a feed out like they did before. If I am correct they was using the security cams on the tower and they was still there the last time I looked.

It looks like they are going to miss the Memorial Day opening weekend by a month.

They need to fine tune the brakes so it would be less abrupt. I think the speed is ok but just don't like the way the brakes work. Slowing it down as fast as they do has to be causing stress on the structure too.

When they said KI is now family orientated is when they was saying they wasn't going to put the money into big thrill attractions. They are going to say it was a good thing if it was or not, that is their job. Think of Six Flags, they said they was going family orientated too. They don't have a choice they don't have the money to do anything else. We don't know what Cedar Fair plans to do now but I bet it's not what Paramount and CBS was going to do.

I don't know but I don't think it was a fail-safe that made it stop where it did. I think they was lucky they didn't make the loop. It would have been something going all the way through with their heads down going backward.

I remember a member here saying how much better the maintenance workers was at Carowinds than at PGA. I would guess that member has a foot in his mouth now.

Yeah Paramount really shot the guests in the foot, constant golden ticket awards and high rankings by amusement today in attendance for the past 6 years really showed that guests werent coming because of Paramount. Everyone is so quick to criticize but really no one has any room to complain. Like its been pointed out on here bt Stevo3631 before.....Paramount did bring the chain back together and Paramount kept the parks open. It had been made clear by Carl Linder that KECO was not doing well and he had no more interest in his dealings with Keco. Had Paramount not come in annd re-unified the chain then we may very well have Six Flags over Cincinnati which judging by the other SF parks I've been to thats not necesrily a god thing, although I cant speak for SFGAdv's reputation. Like Maureen said, the park is basically getting two new coaster this year with the addition of Firehawk and all the work being done on Son of Beast. I think the sign out front is the last of their worries. I agree there was nothing to complain about back when they bought the parks. I am talking about the last 3 or 4 years. I think the low cost, high hype and lack of repair days is about to show the lower attendance results. If that happens it will be at the worst time for it. I think this year could set the pace for the next 10 years. My bet on the new coasters is that one will not open in 07. Watching the park over the years I have found that the park spokesperson has a job to do.

The park needs a large steel because it has been without one for thirty five years. The world did fine without cars and roads for years too. The talk of not needing large attractions was Paramount brainwash. I think what Paramount was doing was about to kill attendance. Now that Paramount stepped to the side it may fall on Cedar Fair.

Paramount did good things they just didn't do much lately.

Not true, I am poor and have a camper and a huge truck, however I still have them both.... So your saying you don't have money for gas and you still own a rv. What are doing with them if you can't pay for gas? Picard, you made no sense what so everI have had mine for a few years...and with gas prices the way they are I dont use them but will again some day....Oh yeah I forgot, I have 2 other cars also and a house, 2 dogs and 3 kids, cant afford them but I still have them.... go figure Maybe you should sell the RV and take care of your kids if you can't afford them.
