I would guess that ip address wouldn't tell you much in a world that is connected mostly with dynamic connections.

I seen on Saturday that the one that does the stamp is the one checking people on the way back in. As there was a line of people wanting a stamp and a line of people wanting back in she would stamp one as three walked by not getting checked because she couldn't keep up. I have to say that if any two of them that got through didn't pay it would have cost more not having the help that is needed.

My Opinion on the Future of Cedar Fair
Captain Picard replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I don't know how they would have a clue to how much a pass holder spends. I know I spent around 100 on our last visit on warm pop, cold pretzels and shirts. If they gave deals to a pass holder they would have a better idea on what they spend. -
I heard that Seaworld was doing this for their new Orlando park because they are having a hard time finding people here. They are going to provide them a place to live but it comes out of their pay. They will be working for about nothing after they pay for that. If they don't like it they will send them back to where they came from. If parks can have it like that I would guess they wouldn't look to hard for help locally.

A TR by an outsider to KI's Manager But On The Web
Captain Picard replied to The Interpreter's topic in Trip Reports
About the responsibility to state factual information. We also knew it opened this year and it was closed back down not long ago to. So we know that must have been when he was there. We all seen post here about rides that was down and it was all around the same time. What would not be factual about that? -
So you think they will move The Villain to KI and convert it to a impulse coaster.

A TR by an outsider to KI's Manager But On The Web
Captain Picard replied to The Interpreter's topic in Trip Reports
I don't see where he overstated as it's been that way every other time I have been there after 2002. If you are like me and drive for 3 hours to get there and most rides don't open with the park it tends to make you not want to go back. If you go on a Sunday you can't stay till closing waiting for rides to open because you have to work on Monday to pay for your trip you had to KI on Sunday. I know it's possible to have all rides open with the park because I have seen it at other ones. It's not so bad for the pass holder that lives minutes away from the park but for me it's a 100 bucks for gas and fast food. -
CEDAR FAIR IN TALKS OVER $4.1 BILLION TAKEOVER
Captain Picard replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
I would guess that Cedar Fair can't say anything as there are rules they would need to follow when it's a publicly held company. I think they have to wait till the have something like a conference call to say anything about these things. -
CEDAR FAIR IN TALKS OVER $4.1 BILLION TAKEOVER
Captain Picard replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
I like the part about plans to commit at least 500 million, and as much as 800 million for upgrades. There must be some of the parks needing some big upgrades. -
Click on Carnival of Carnage and then right click and zoom in one level to see the embedded images. You have to really look at it and you will start to see them. The easy ones to make out are on the pole. The hard is like the child standing in front and to the right of the tent. They have stuff like this on their site every year and most probably can't see it.

They are in 2 billion deep now. How much more do you think it will take?

My bet is for DOT to be removed because it is a waste of space. As for steel coasters, I wouldn't expect to see one with everything you use to build a steel coaster costing 3x what it did 4 years ago.

Cedar Fair Looking For Buyers--That Would Keep Bosses
Captain Picard replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
It would be nice to know what he was going to talk about before the show wouldn't it? -

How was your first experience on the "New" Son of Beast?
Captain Picard replied to Delirium33's topic in KI Polls
I raised my arms on all 3 of my SOB rides this year. I never complained that the new SOB was unbearable rough. I think some people think SOB will or is suppose to be glass smooth. Well, we should see if they will let you do a marathon on it. I bet you can't get more than 30 rides before you are passing blood in your urine. -
What do you think will happen to Cedar Fair?
Captain Picard replied to italianchef's topic in KI Polls
If it's all as it looks there will be no buyers and at some point they will have to try to refinance the existing debt. At that point they are going to find that they can't at reasonable rate and things will get worse. -

Give it some time and then see where the stock goes.
