  1. It may have been people that couldn't get close enough to see it.
  2. I wonder if they would be looking at Kennywood if they had a way to pay for it. Kennywood looks like a good deal compared to what they paid for GL and Paramount Parks. The only park that will be for sale when they are ready for expansion will be Wild Escape if it gets built.
  3. The Beast was red at one time so it seems to fit that theme. We don't know where we will be getting on it to say what theme it should have or what it should fit.
  4. I can't tell from the pic the angle of the safety catch part to tell if that piece that is there goes at the very top of the lift hill or not. I need a better look at it before I would say that it's the top.
  5. I was happy with opening day. The north tolls was open when I got there and I seen a line jumper sent to the back the line.
  6. Or just update to the latest version of Quicktime.
  7. I was getting a intrusion attempt by 85.255.121.195 HTTP Quicktime RTSP URI BO when visiting KIC.
  8. This is opening 2003 at 5pm with the north tolls closed.
  9. Looks a little slow for the big day on their cam. http://www.hardrockpark.com/_html/webcam.php
  10. Mark Shapiro on CNBC http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=712913517
  11. That really hasn't been an issue since Cedar Fair took over. They open the park about two weeks later than Paramount did (sometimes) and many times it was too cold to run a lot of the rides. Yep, I was there with you last year and about every ride in the park was closed. If you remember I asked you where China City was and left. The rides may have opened later in the day but they wasn't at opening.
  12. It's usually the lack of open rides that hinders your experience on opening day. I would guess that will not be the case this year with a sellout the day before.
  13. I think it was Six flags Ohio for me. I didn't go when Cedar Fair owned it and could have got in for free.
  14. Yes, I am looking forward to filling up at the gas station to get there and again to get back. I wonder if it's going to be worth it. The north gate better be open when I get there this time unlike last year of setting out in the road for around 45 minutes. Then find out on KICentral that the south gate was open and they let the traffic stack up out to 71 before they opened the north gate.
  15. The weekly oil inventory report today said inventories dropped.
  16. I would guess this was more for safety. They can see if people are complaining more about one side or the other where you can't. With the beating you take on it going forward I can only guess what the backward was like because I have never been on it.
  17. Sep 29, 2003 There are many here that was on pkiguide.com long before KIC or PKIU.
  18. If you take gas price today at 2.71 and just add tax you can see we have not seen it hit the pump yet. It's around .80 over when you add profits and tax to put it at 3.51.
  19. Excellent point. Fruit is so refreshing during the summer. Especially on a roller coaster riding, running from ride to ride, jam packed fun filled hot day. I LOVE that idea! I never eat anything heavy such as pizza. I don't eat meat and usually an ice cream cone is about the only thing I eat at KI. A fruit stand would be outstanding! I hope some one takes your advice! One of my new favorite things a Disney World is the Dole Whips. I read about them before my trip last year, tried it, and now it is one of my must-haves there. The Dole stand in Adventureland has pineapple ones, and I believe somewhere else in the park has either strawberry or raspberry, I can't remember which. Basically it's pineapple soft serve ice cream in a cup with pineapple juice. Talk about refreshing! Just the thing we needed on that hot June day. We will definitely be getting one this September again. I will be getting my daughter her own this time instead of her eating part of mine, I didn't expect her to like it so much and eat as much of mine as she did! You can almost taste it.
  20. If you watch Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Foodnetwork and see the many unique things around the country you would wonder why anyone would want them to bring in TGI Fridays. I can get TGI Fridays anywhere why would I go to KI to get it? I don't know why everyone goes nuts over the Pizza at KI as it's about as bland as it gets. I don't know maybe there isn't good Pizza in the area and they don't know any better.
  21. Where's this at? Cedar Point
  22. That would depend on how good the ride. I would agree it wears off fast with rides that have been put in at KI lately. There are rides up north that are years old and still have lines like new rides have at KI.
  23. Always looking forward to Halloween Horror Nights and new for this year Hard Rock Park. Thinking about a stop at The Beacon Drive-In Spartanburg SC as it looked good on the food network. For Ki I am looking forward to seeing some construction.
  24. I remember back to when I rode it thinking it was going to be the highlight of my trip. It was a good thing The Blast Coaster was there to save the day.
