Also this year the new Funcentive Rewards program gives associates points for GR compliments. If you really wow someone then you'll get an extra 250 points (I think, check in the Star News) for it. There are two downsides to this that I can see already, people will compliment their buddies when they go to the park (this probably can't be avoided) and those of us in GR have little or no chance of getting the same compliments. We'll handle situations all day and not even get a simple thank you but we'll spend more time entering reports for the rest of the park. Now of course it's early in the season and this may not be true down the line, but I've got a feeling that we'll get to enter a BUNCH more this year than last year regardless. /my two cents Andy

The decision came from Nickelodeon itself. Not sure of the exact reason but it's not something we could really avoid. From what I gathered it was getting the axe across the board at every park. Speaking of which, I talked to a VERY upset family yesterday who "only come to the park to get [their] kids slimed!" We called an entertainment OD who came and discussed the issue with them. He didn't sound too happy about the decision either. Andy

My sources told me that the sign probably won't be up until August or so. Lots of red tape still needs to be negotiated. Andy

As far as I know there will still be nightly fireworks when the park is open until 10pm or later. I have not heard anything otherwise and am assuming that that means nothing has changed. I could be wrong, it happens from time to time. As for why it's not on the map I have no idea. We are open until 10 on every Saturday in May so the dates on the maps are not related to the fireworks as far as I can figure. There are tons of possibilities. Andy

This is somewhat fitting, those are easily my two favorite rides in the park and it's virtually impossible for me to pick a true winner. But alas, THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! lol My vote will be in shortly... Andy

I've worked my fair share of BAFFDs but the best day of last year was the 4th of July when the fireworks were cancelled. I remember working a double that Friday so I could get Saturday off (to work a double at my other job). I loved running around through the throngs of people in the soaking rain while the speakers were telling everyone that a tornado was on the way. That will forever be fresh in my head. So many memories of those 16 hour days.....I can't wait for this season. Andy

Definitely The Beast. After riding that a couple times I'm heading to Delirium. Those two rides alone make the park outstanding IMHO. Andy
