O Man this is one time I wish they would have waited to add the roof to the Storage Track/Shed.... but I am just Happy that i am finally seeing a part of the trains!!

My record is 19 on The Beast, 5 on SOB, and 13 on Racer. I once rode Vortex 6 times in a row and I'm telling you... NOT a good idea, i was not sick just a MAJOR HEADACHE!!! from all the dang head-banging. Man that ride is getting rough

Nope now that the sun is rising it appears that nothing is on the tracks yet my bad. i hope we see some today though!

I does appear that the far left part of the train storage shed has something on the track. I cant wait till morning to tell if im just going crazy or if there is actually something there, but there is a shadow being cast and that is the one that looks the darkest as if something is blocking the light. could it be trains?!? I hope so we will see in about 7 hours or so!!!

I didn't say it was for sure just that it possibly could be. But I i will say that i wish it was because that would be an amazing spot, right outta the helix. Another reason for having the black liner and gravel behind the drop into the splashdown is probably because the constant water on the grass would be mud almost all the dime and the grass wouldn't be able to grow nd the loss of water point brought up earlier.

What is this?? Possibly the concrete footer for the Camera? If you think about it this is an excellent place for it!!

Exactly!! That's what always happens to me... every time I go somewhere and get on a new ride or something, I always just miss what I wanted to see Doesn't surprise me though anymore, just the standard I have learned to accept. I hope the trains appear this week either on the track or in pictures posted to the site!!! Either would be good with me. But in standard fashion I will be busy and be the last to know...lol

I wish that Cedar Fair would completely redo Kings Island's website! make it more functional and give more information and pictures like the Cedar Point website I am not complaining just thinking and wishing.

WOW! It appears that the crew is working today, and seem to be mostly on the storage track and in the splashdown area! Maybe trains and landscaping are on the list for the day??? all the snow is melted on the pavement and only a thin layer remains on the grass! prob. not but I wish It also looks like they have put down gravel behind the splashdown! prob. because if they left it grass it would be mud all summer because the water would destroy it and gravel keeps the water from puddling.

I love Raptor and Mantis! Though I don't understand why Mantis gets do much criticism as being a jerky and bad coaster, it has strong Gs but its smooth! the only complaint I have abut Raptor is the turn (slam) into the brake run, but otherwise amazing coaster!!! I have been on 1 B&M Hyper though and it was smooth as Maverick and Millennium!!! like silk As much as people love B&Ms (as do I) I must say I prefer Intamin. Anyway back to DB, I am so Pumped for this coaster and cant wait to see the Trains

I am so Freggin Excited to see the Trains!!!! how did u find all of this out??? and i figured they would eventually add a roof to the Storage track, without a roof it kind defeats the purpose of the beams above the track. anyway why has nobody really posted pics frm saturday anywhere?!? I hope to see some soon and plenty of pics of the trains when they put them on the track!!!!!!

I don't Mind the nets on the main Lift Hill and on the MCBR but I honestly hate the nets that are on random portions of track like on Griffon or Nitro!!!! they look Tacky and cheapy, I kno they have a purpose but i wish they could figure out a better way to fix these problems... but its just one of those things that B&M does (meaning they are more obvious and stick out more than others) if they add them anywhere the one place u can pretty much garantee there will be one os at the entrance into the splashdown which will takeaway from the overall experience of walking under it anyway sry bout that rant but i just had to get it out!! And after looking at pics of the flyover on KIExtreme i have noticed that there is a skim brake on the hill after the hammerhead Cant wait to ride this freggin thing no matter what!! so pumped:D

Behemoth has about the same set up for the storage tracks and did not have a roof at opening but they added one a few weeks into the season. idk if this will be the same case w/ DB but im just sayin that Behemoth has on it was just added after completion of everything else... kinda an afterthought is what it looks like but it look good

I have decided that it is Sad that the construction of Diamondback has made me become excited for the week and want the weekend to fly by so I can see what is happening with the coaster!!! Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem lately?? Speaking of the week only a few hours till we see if they are going to finish DB!!!! too bad i will be at school well i'm not gonna lie I will be check ing the webcam on my laptop all day during classes tomorrow... so much for being productive. lol

lets not I was typing quickly and used the wrong spelling for a word, sorry i will try and avoid these problems/mistakes in the future lol And even with the snow I hope they complete the track or at least get the last two pieces going into the splashdown completed Tomorrow!!!! So Freggin Pumped!!

Don ststed on January 9th I believe that the train would be arriving soon!!! have we just not seen or been told about their arrival yet or have they not??? I guess it could take quite a while to come from switzerland... I hope we get to see them this week, considering the trackwork will be done i assume they should be here any day now so they can begin putting the on the transfer track after assembly and yes i kno they wont be put on the actual track till the electrical work is prob done. And I think they can test without the water because it wont effect the breaking that much!! the regular breaks have to be equipped to stop the train without the splashdown!!

It Appears that they are doin refurb/renovation on the old Phototorium... possibly the new queue and ride photo building?? taken on 12-23-2009 what do you think??? do you agree?

The reason there are no stairs is because it would make more sense to build a bride over to the existing path at that level. And since there are no stairs leading out of the exit there is no need for an elevator. If there was an elevator that was going to be installed, we would already see the shaft. If that doesn't convince you, why would there be two doors leading to an elevator that would be capable of lifting two people at most? And I know that there are coasters I'm the world that exit right beside the control booth, but that doesn't mean that it's not a safety hazard for riders and the crew. B&M designs their roller coasters to perfection and that means that "little" issues like the operators view of the station are not overlooked. Ahhhhhh!! I had never thought of the bridge idea thats quite a compelling argument now that i look at the blueprints again... hmm... I believe you may be on to something there, i think i agree But as to the B&M being too perfect to design the exit next to the control booth, i would debate that for a few reasons- 1. Raptor, exit is very close to the control booth.. not as close as i was saying the blueprint was showing but it is close enough to block the view of the back half of the train!! 2.- I thought that the parks designed the stations including the entrance/exit areas, the only thing they dont control is the track that goes thru the station, security/safety mechanisms, and if needed the floor below the cars (drop floors/ retractable floors). because some coasters have 1 station, some a separate load and unload station!

I think the box is the elevator bc otherwise they would have drawn a staircase and not a box off the side and if you look at the ground view blueprint there is a wide opening where you would enter an elevator And for the theory of not having an exit that goes by the control booth... look at Vortex, Racer, Magnum, Iron Dragon, Mean Streak, Wicked Twister. But doing away with the kiddie jail makes sense!! they are a hassle and do slow down load/unload time.

Prob not because that usually by the control room, and if you look at the blueprints there id a box drawn on there right the front of the control room that is prob the "holding cell"! p.s. i hate to say it but those things crack me up, its like kiddie jail and they are always so curious looking in there

I think that it might be a spot for an elevator like Maverick and Behemoth because the entrance is stairs not a ramp... but i could be wrong thats just what it looks like to me It looks to me that they also might be foregoing a lot of cosmetic things on the station like the dormers but i might be wrong here to because all of that can be added later??

After looking at Behemoth pics i agree that the et of stairs currently being constructed are likely not the queue stairs but are prob service stairs. Since those are not the queue stairs i question where the queue stairs will go under the track to the other side of the station to where the entrance will supposedly will be?? A SOB setup would work but i find it confusing and crowed honestly... I like the maverick type set up the best, there is a worker there letting a certain amount of people in so it doesn't get crowded but they don't instruct u where to sit!! And for a totally random question... are they done with the roof on the station bc the way one side of the roof the metal is horizontal and the other side is vertical looks strange?? anyone kno??
